In Winter everything lies dormant in the silent earth, it is a time of rest & reflection before the awakening.
The energy of winter is that of going within. From the darkness & silence new inspirations can eventually
emerge.
When we link our awareness to nature's cycles, understanding of our personal growth cycles can deepen.
Negative emotions are uncomfortable but when we
fear our own darkness we cut ourselves off from one of
the greatest catalysts for personal growth, transformation
& enlightenment.

In fact, the busier you are with things other people want from you, the more important it is to carve out time to work on your passion project on the side. Even if your progress on it is slow. Even if you’re not sure it will ever sell. Do it for the sheer joy and madness of it.
If you want to live a happier and more creative life, you’re going to have to be willing to disappoint people at some point. What lights you up isn’t always what people seem to want from you.
It’s easy to say they’re lucky, but always catering to other people’s expectations can easily turn their dream job into something that feels like a trap. It’s really heavy to feel unable to write what you want to write because you’re too busy with what you are sure will pay you.
Writing fiction that feels true is hard. And reading it without giving in to temptation to overthink it is even harder when you’ve been trained to not be in your body when you read.
When we read fiction, we can create an egoic attachment to the text and what we think it means. Reading with the intention to give critique quite often means that we’re looking for things that hook our egos, rather than reading to experience story moving us, by moving through us.
We already think too much of our thinking, but most of what we think isn’t even real. We can tie words in lots of pretty or intelligent sounding knots on a page and still be absolutely lying to ourselves (and our readers) about how it actually feels to be alive, to be human.
The difference between mysticism and machine is almost indiscernible to the average eye. That we’ve reached peak spirituality for profit at the same moment that AI goes mainstream isn’t really surprising.
