Wale Edun told the IMF to their face just last week. Nigeria is not taking your loan. He turned down the offer publicly in Washington while attending the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings.
Four days later, he was “out of the cabinet”.
Now today, Tinubu has gone back to Senate asking for $516.3 million from Deutsche Bank. For a road. The same man who has already borrowed $6 billion in the last month alone.
They say Edun resigned on health grounds. Very convenient health that started the moment he became an obstacle to borrowing.
Taiwo Oyedele just arrived. His first assignment? Rubber-stamp the next loan letter. That is the job description now.
This man ruined what was left of the country's power stack.
He implemented systems that made people pay 10X former tariffs, for no value.
If he was getting a report sheet, he's getting G10 not F9.
This same man is getting a hero's welcome.
SLAVES.
Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu Resigns
Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has stepped down from his position, signaling a major shift in the country’s power sector leadership. A resignation letter dated April 22, 2026, confirms his decision to leave office effective April 30, 2026, so he can fully concentrate on his governorship ambition in Oyo State.
This development comes just weeks after the minister publicly denied reports of any such move, sparking fresh controversy over conflicting statements.
In his letter addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Adelabu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve, describing his appointment as a rare privilege.
He explained that his resignation would allow for a smooth transition while he redirects his focus to his long-standing political ambition, which he traced back to 2016 during his time at the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Earlier denials by Adelabu and his media team who had dismissed a similar resignation letter as fake have now raised questions about whether the initial claims were strategic or if this represents a new decision influenced by evolving political dynamics.
Between Wale and Bola, Who Misled Nigerians? “Today I can stand here before you to brag, Nigeria is not borrowing. We have met our revenue target for the year and we met it in August.” Bola Tinubu September 2025
"We are likely to miss 2025 revenue target by approximately ₦30 trillion and we already borrowed about ₦14.1 trillion to bridge fiscal gaps." Wale Edun December 2025
We warned you all in 2022 that you were messing with a possible ruthless drug and criminal cartel but you all called us names.
Now look at this brazen and coordinated criminality.
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
The invocations of Sheikh Sudais at the end of the Tahajjud prayer tonight... We can feel the end of Ramadan approaching!
"O Allah, let us experience Ramadan again for many more years, in well-being, health, and happiness."
>Just say Aameen<
Some of us have watched in disbelief as Government Agencies that we respected, such as @icpcnigeria@OfficialDSSNG and @officialEFCC, appear to have conspired to incarcerate @elrufai without charging him to Court, thereby violating the spirit & letter of the Nigerian Constitution.
Even though I disagreed with @elrufai as Kaduna State Governor over El-Zakzaky’s 2019 detention (see tweet below), I will still speak out against those ill-treating him today. Two wrongs do not make a right.
If I am ever incarcerated, I will be at peace with my Lord, even if nobody calls out the authorities on my behalf.
At various times, when MKO Abiola, General Obasanjo, @DeleFarotimi, @sowore and several others were incarcerated, I spoke out for them.
One day, the Lord will deliver us from wicked leaders.
