The value of your skill is not determined by how good you are.
It is determined by where, how, and for whom it is applied.
People don’t pay for effort.
They pay for the value they believe your skill can generate for them.
Undercharging is not humility — it's self-sabotage. Ghanaian service providers consistently undervalue themselves. Price confidently, deliver excellently, then raise your rates.
Many founders start by building something they think is great.
But businesses succeed when they solve real problems that people are already trying to fix.
Most small business failures are avoidable.
The difference is not talent—it’s fundamentals.
Customers.
Cash.
Pricing.
Structure.
Systems.
Master these early, and your business stands a chance.

Most small businesses in Africa don’t fail suddenly.
They collapse from fundamental issues left unresolved.
If you’re a young founder, focus on:
Customers → Cash → Structure → Systems
Everything else comes later.
2026 is your year to shine! Whether it's starting that dream business or taking that first positive step towards your goals, remember that every journey begins with a single step. Embrace the new year with determination and watch yourself soar to new heights! #NewBeginnings

Attending the @WFP IGNITE food systems challenge demo day in Juba, South Sudan was a remarkable experience. This program, implemented by @AfriLabs, is dedicated to identifying, supporting, and scaling local MSMEs that are developing innovative solutions throughout the agricultural value chain in South Sudan.
I had the honor of delivering the welcome address and serving as a Jury member for the MSME Pitches. It was inspiring to witness the creativity and dedication of the participants as they presented their ideas aimed at transforming the agricultural landscape in the region.
I had the privilege of moderating a powerful session on “Catalyzing Climate Capital: Financing Africa’s Green and Blue Economy” at the AfriLabs Annual Gathering held at the UN Office in Nairobi. 💚💙
My panelists shared insightful perspectives on how African countries can position themselves to capture a larger share of global climate financing, which currently stands at just under 5%.
A key takeaway was the urgent need for context-specific investment approaches — investors must go beyond viewing Africa as a single market and instead deepen their understanding of individual country contexts, policies, and ecosystems. Each nation has unique opportunities, risks, and innovations driving its climate agenda.
The conversation also underscored that Africa’s climate transition is not just an environmental necessity — it’s an economic opportunity. By aligning innovation, policy, and finance, we can unlock capital flows that accelerate sustainable growth and resilience across the continent.
Grateful to my fellow panelists Mélanie Keïta, Ope Onaboye, Isabella Tenai, Mercy Rose and Dr. Harny Elsalamony for their insights and to AfriLabs for creating such a dynamic space to explore how innovation can power a climate-resilient and regenerative Africa.
I’m thrilled to be hosting the Green/Blue Track at the AfriLabs Annual Gathering 2025, happening this week in Nairobi! 🇰🇪
