Eid-al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice reflects the values of faith, devotion, and selflessness. It commemorates the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim to sacrifice in obedience to Allah. #EidMubarak to everyone and don’t forget the needy people around you.
Petrol and diesel prices have been increased by the Noon government by Rs 15 per litre each to Rs 415 per litre. The entire increase in both has been due to increase in levy and taxes. Not due to any increase in prices.
For petrol now we pay levy of Rs 120 per litre and for diesel Rs 45 per litre. In addition we pay about Rs 30 per litre as custom for diesel and Rs 20 as duty for petrol. So about 33% of the what you pay for petrol and 16% for diesel goes to the government.
Don’t let the government say that they are not passing on the total burden on the people and undertaking any austerity. The entire burden of price increases plus even more taxes are now being charged to the people.
We’re announcing with a heavy heart that Saad has been arrested.
We are taking legal action and will pursue this matter through proper channels.
Please keep him in your prayers and stand with us during this time. 🤍https://t.co/lCdlp9H7OL
To civil society, journalists, and state authorities:
We are writing as friends and colleagues of Mohammad Saad, seeking his immediate and lawful release.
At approximately 3:30 AM this Monday, 12–13 masked men forcibly entered his home and took him away without presenting any warrant or lawful authority. This constitutes an unlawful deprivation of liberty and a clear breach of due process.
Only after subsequent legal pressure was an FIR registered on grounds that appear arbitrary and unfounded, raising serious concerns of post facto justification of an already unlawful detention.
Saad is a journalist, researcher, and Political Science scholar whose work engages with complex political and strategic subjects. He has also worked with state institutions when called upon, after being vetted and cleared, contributing in areas aligned with national interest.
His detention by personnel within CTD represents a serious overreach of authority and undermines constitutional safeguards, including protection against arbitrary arrest and the sanctity of the home.
We call on all responsible authorities to ensure due process, review the legality of his detention, and facilitate his immediate and safe release.

Israel has claimed responsibility for bombing A WEDDING in Gaza City yesterday that killed 7 people from two families, including a 4-month-old BABY. Israel offered no explanation, but acknowledged "uninvolved civilians" were killed. Where's the Bondi beach level media coverage? Where's the outrage
Sumayya, the daughter of fellow colleague, the martyred journalist Mohammad Wishah, a correspondent for Al Jazeera Mubasher…
Two years ago, she stood in front of the camera with childlike spontaneity, wearing a press vest larger than her size, speaking about her dream of becoming a voice for the truth in Gaza.
Today, Sumaya has lost her father, who was killed in a treacherous Israeli strike while reporting on what was happening to the people.
The father is gone, and Sumaya remains… carrying both his dream and his pain.
This Lebanese journalist @ftounifatima was targeted by Israel minutes after her last tweet in which she posted her report from South Lebanon. Israel is the biggest killer of journalists. #JournalismIsNotACrime
BREAKING: Israeli army IDF just kidnapped and tortured this 1 year old Palestinian boy.
Here's the full story.
The child’s father, Osama Abu Nassar, was financially destroyed after the IDF murdered the horse he used for income.
While taking his child to buy supplies on foot, he was caught up in gunfire near his home and was forced by Israeli soldiers to leave his 18-month-old son on the ground and approach a nearby military checkpoint, where he was stripped and interrogated.
The occupation terrorists tortured the child in front of his father, including burning his legs with cigarettes, pricking him and hammering a large nail into his leg, as confirmed by a medical report.
The report said the child suffered burn marks from cigarettes and puncture wounds in his leg caused by the nail.
The bloody child was released about 10 hours later and handed over to his family through the International Committee of the Red Cross in Al-Maghazi, while the father still remains in Israeli detention.
I literally cried while writing this. Repost it.
