The only reason why #Iran's regime is weaker today is because of #Israel's campaigns against it (with American support). But it's Israel which Fareed portrays as the obstacle. The Islamic Republic never has agency and it's depicted here as an almost benign actor only wanting sanctions relief. Ridiculous. And an elementary understanding of the history of the last 46 years should put to bed the fantasy that Tehran shares a common interest with the U.S. in stabilizing the Middle East.
