Today marks my last day at Aston University. From next week, I'll start my job as an Associate Professor in International Business at the University of Leicester. Thanks to the fabulous colleagues, friends, and students who made my time at Aston enjoyable and fulfilling.

DM Hi. I have a PhD student who has just moved to the UK from Iran. She feels a bit lonely and also struggles with her English. I was wondering if there is anyone who would be happy to pair with her for speaking skills and communication.
@PhDForum BSc grades are less important for PhD application. In the SOP, try to use this to your advantage to show that although your BSc marks were lower than your expectations, you learned from your mistakes, and were able to improve your performance and do a great job in MSc. Good luck
@PhDForum You are not alone. Many PhD students feel the same these days. To stay motivated, you need some sense of progress. This is my advice: create a clear roadmap, write down your tasks, tick them off the list when they're done. Reward yourself after each milestones. Repeat the process
@PhDForum 1- Create a regular work schedule and stick to it, consistency is the key!, 2- break up your tasks to bite-sized milestones, 3-create weekly and daily to-do list and priorities your tasks, 4- be kind to yourself, give time to get into the groove! 5-eat and sleep right!
