I have been reporting traffic violations on the Astram app of @blrcitytraffic. Today morning I saw rampant violations, of 2W riding on footpath. I took pics and uploaded them in the Astram app. I thought I would check the status of the old reports: to my shock, it looks like not even one of them have been taken up. Are the traffic police even checking them? @Jointcptraffic @krishnabgowda

Today, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, I voluntarily served in uniform as a Traffic Warden alongside Bengaluru Traffic Police at Yelahanka Traffic Police Station Circle, where ongoing flyover construction has been causing severe traffic congestion.

During my duty, I repeatedly observed a serious traffic discipline issue. At several junctions with a Free Left Turn, some BMTC and KSRTC bus drivers, despite intending to go straight, occupied the Free Left lane instead of waiting in the correct lane. This blocks the entire Free Left movement, resulting in unnecessary traffic congestion and long vehicle queues.

When politely requested to follow traffic rules, some drivers responded with arguments and inappropriate behaviour instead of cooperating. Such actions inconvenience thousands of commuters and can also delay ambulances and other emergency vehicles.

I respectfully request BMTC and KSRTC authorities to reinforce traffic discipline through regular training and strict enforcement. Every road user has a shared responsibility to respect traffic rules and help keep Bengaluru moving safely and efficiently.

We all walk these footpaths daily and get desensitised, forgetting that India's global reputation is negatively affected by poor infra.

Today, another very dangerous incident occurred while I was driving to work in Chennai, OMR Road, where the new metro rail project construction is going on. The video that I have attached shows a beam that falls off with a long screw or a bot attached to it and bounces while my car (Creta) goes underneath it. It was a near miss, and I was travelling with my family (my parents and brother), and they were in shock, as anything could have happened, as the sharp point could have caused immense damage or even injury to my family.
As shown in the video, I myself was in shock and had to stop the car immediately. We got out and saw that most of the vehicles coming in the back were able to stop in time and got out without any damage or injuries.
I did not go further to ask anyone, as my family wanted me to take them home immediately.
Thankfully, no one was harmed. but this easily could have been a very bad situation sir.
This incident took place on December 17th 2025, at 11:45 pm in OMR Road - Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Unless it’s a life-threatening or medical emergency, 10-minute delivery should be banned. Why do you need everyday items, including food, in 10 minutes? It puts delivery workers' lives at risk and subjects them to extreme stress. This is totally avoidable.
