Almost all the asphalting being done is substandard. The tar is extremely coarse and already falling apart. Can you suspend all the contractors and commissioners
I really hope I don’t have to do this frequently. But, if officers and contractors do not listen and do their job, unfortunately, I will be forced. I appeal to them to do their job properly.
Today, I happened to observe an asphalt work in progress. I was doubtful of the quality. I asked the Commissioner to inspect this asphalt work. Indeed, the work was found to be substandard. Sadly, officer is suspended and contractor penalised.

Dear Bengaluru, technically, @amb_cinemas is your finest cinema in the city. This needs more love.
Being 4K Laser with flagship projectors in every screen is something not many properties can claim. 5 Atmos auditoriums, 3 FLAT screens & 4 Dolby 7.1 auditoriums.
This is where cinema looks at its best.
Also a request to @JyesthNarang6 & management: please look into the sound issues being reported in Dolby Cinema. Also, fix the programming issues, reduce the excessive cancellations, and lastly, please show FLAT movies on FLAT screens. Kindly work on these 3 feedback points-everything else is already stellar.

The thing that bothers me about these copout “people who didn’t like Disclosure Day just hate EMPATHY” tweets is that the movie itself has a very strange view of empathy. Empathy does not mean knowing absolutely everything about someone else so you can Jedi mind trick them lol
I'm requesting you to rectify this as the audience deserves a great experience from such a premium screen and this one small issue is holding it back from being an absolute perfect experience.

@amb_cinemas@JyesthNarang6 recently watched Disclosure Day in DC screen 6 kapali. The PQ is perfect but there's a high pitched buzzing on the top left rear side. This is intrusive during quiet scenes and ruins the otherwise perfect experience.
@ShyamkrishnanB@amb_cinemas That makes sense but those are the optimum seats and also a Dolby cinema screen should have near flawless sound regardless of where we sit
@jkaiwar That's all hypothetical. For example the reality that exists here in BLR - the GBA is run like the personal company of a certain sitting MLA from a certain constituency @sahi_vinayak is quite familiar with. There's no autonomy in development or maintenance anymore.
Educative minute:
Film twitter, please know that all these "amateur 35mm scans" comparison are deceptive.
1. Films are made of atoms (nitrate, acetate, polyester), and unlike digital data, they are vulnerable to entropy like everything else.
2. For the same movie, not all theatrical projection prints were made with the same process. Most were poor quality with short shelf-life (6 years according to Martin Scorsese).
3. Dye compounds are unstable, decaying at different rates over time, their colors degrading, fading & shifting. Notice how most of these "35mm scans" are bluish & faded, with contrast added in post after scanning.
4. Even if you had a perfectly manufactured, flawlessly stored & maintained, and masterfully scanned film, digitalization remains an interpretation process. A projected film is pure light, and mapping a RAW capture to the displayable dynamic range of screens is a subjective process, not a perfect science.
So never interpret these 35mm scans as "how a film was supposed to look". No two surviving 35mm films look the same, and none look the way they did at release.
These are just films degraded by hundreds of theatrical runs & decade of chemical decay. This organic "instagram filter" evokes a certain nostalgia, but it's an illusion.
There is no pristine original to go back to. Even the original negatives stored by studios require month of digital cleaning to be considered "usable".
It's all a subjective process.
A new ‘ADVENTURES OF TINTIN’ movie is officially happening.
Peter Jackson is currently writing the script with plans to direct the film himself.

G-Maps is unable to account for the randomness in BLR traffic signals because of manual operation. And once in navigation it doesn't adjust for real time traffic fast enough. Knowing the critical signals and adjusting accordingly is a better strategy than blind trust in G-Maps
I absolutely hate it when people use their own brains to pick a route instead of relying on Google Maps. We have real-time data that accurately shows traffic congestion, distance, and other useful metrics.
"I have been driving for 40 years" is BS. Use technology when it exists.
@iamshreytyagi@kdcloudy It's a non factor when it comes to action sequences and loud scenes but as soon as it's dialogue heavy or silence it cuts through the noise and is extremely distracting.
@iamshreytyagi@kdcloudy Fair enough but such an issue should not be expected in a premium screen where sound bleeds in. AMB DC has a persistent high pitched buzzing noise on the left height channels. I have brought it up each of the 6 times I've visited to the management to no avail.
