@ArchibaldA524 I agree! I’m moreso addressing the people saying the song “perfectly describes being in love and missing your partner.” Like the song IS kinda male centered but with the rest of the album you see how she realizes it was unhealthy in retrospect
we need to stop this idea that every song about being in love with a man is male-centered. It’s not. It’s centered on HER emotions and experience.
And even if it was male-centered, that would be okay 😭 it’s not a crime. Some people are so “feminist” they end up misogynistic
@dorah_xox I agree the meaning changes with the context of the whole album! But idk idt the song itself suggests critique, like if this was released before the breakup it would no doubt be seen as a love song. Even now people are defending it saying “that’s just how it feels to be in love!”
@Owlch333 Yes hopefully we get the poster + first look images in the weeks leading up to comic con and then teaser trailer at SDCC (partially manifesting haha but also it seems to be the pattern)
Not the point but why are all these news outlets talking about season three spoiling who Nico and Bianca are 😭 like babes that’s supposed to be a surprise
TV was great because of a lot of YA shows. And studio/streaming execs shying away from producing them these days because of who their true consumer is (who pays) is a gross misunderstanding of the genre's purpose. You need things folks can watch as a family or with friends.
If anyone is looking for more long form pjo content…👀
my video essay on season 1, where I talk about being “special” vs “singular,” becoming the son of poseidon with percy, and deconstructing worldviews with annabeth

Not saying there isn’t a problem with Gen Z wanting to be “non-chalant,” but I would argue people will respond to those who genuinely love their art (see Ryan coogler) Alysa Liu is also a bad example bc she may not care about winning but she 100% cares about showcasing her art
Maybe this was true a year ago but this is such a misrepresentation of what’s going on rn
There’s a difference between caring about your craft vs caring about prestige. And when you jokingly put down other art forms to seem cool, it does make your attitude seem less authentic
Timothée Chalamet getting hate for making a fundamental Gen Z mistake: never show that you care. If Alyssa Liu is asked about skating, she says she likes doing other things. If Zara Larsson is asked about her abs, she eats like everyone else. Success is just given without work.
