Open Letter from Da'erona Eritrean Community
We respectfully call on the Swiss authorities to carefully examine the planned "Eritrea Festival" in Lausanne and its implications for human rights, democracy, and transnational repression.
We stand with the victims of repression and call for the protection of Eritrean refugees and democratic values.

I fully support the UN Human Rights Council and Special Rapporteur Mohamed Abdelsalam Babiker in their efforts to bring attention to human rights violations in Eritrea. The victims of enforced disappearances, arbitrary detention, and repression deserve justice, accountability, and the protection of their fundamental rights. Their voices must not be forgotten.

The UN Special Rapporteur has once again highlighted the grave human rights situation in Eritrea. Thousands remain disappeared, imprisoned without trial, or deprived of their basic freedoms. Accountability is not optional it is essential.
The voices of Eritrean victims must be heard. Justice delayed is justice denied.
Eritreans deserve the right to question leaders, criticize policies, and participate in shaping their country’s future without fear of punishment. The Blue Revolution believes freedom of speech is not a threat to Eritrea it is necessary for Eritrea’s survival and progress. @UN
We welcome the statement delivered by the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Eritrea before the United Nations Human Rights Council.
The call for accountability regarding alleged crimes against humanity, including enforced disappearances, reflects the long-standing demands of Eritrean victims, their families, and human rights advocates around the world. For decades, thousands of Eritreans have suffered from arbitrary detention, indefinite national service, restrictions on fundamental freedoms, and the absence of the rule of law. Families continue to seek answers about the fate and whereabouts of their loved ones.
We urge the Eritrean authorities to cooperate fully with international human rights mechanisms, provide information on disappeared persons, release prisoners held without due process, and take meaningful steps toward justice, accountability, and respect for human rights.
The international community must continue to stand with the Eritrean people in their pursuit of dignity, freedom, and justice.

35 YEARS IS ENOUGH. WE WANT REAL FREEDOM!"*
*"ERITREA IS NOT FREE. ERITREANS ARE NOT FREE."*
The message: 35 years after independence from Ethiopia, people still don’t have basic freedom. The regime has “stolen our independence” through human rights abuses.

Refugee protection exists for those fleeing oppression—not for those serving the oppressors.
Genuine refugees must be protected, while asylum abuse must be exposed and addressed through evidence and due process. #BlueRevolution#RegimeChangeInEritrea#TransnationalRepression

The #poor against #poor
The leaders of #Vigilante group and politicians know very well forcefully removing the poorest and vulnerable migrants will not change the socioeconomic quality of poor South African but they decided to motivate it.

•More than 1,000 immigrants, mostly Malawian, have fled Burnwood informal settlement after armed South African residents demanded they leave.
•Displaced families, including infants, have been sheltering in a nearby field in Sherwood where humanitarian organisations have provided food, blankets and baby supplies.
•Authorities say repatriation is being arranged with the Malawian embassy, with the first group expected to leave early next week.

Chained hands holding the Eritrean flag*: The hands are in shackles. It symbolizes that even after independence, Eritreans are still not free. The country is “chained” by dictatorship, no elections, indefinite military service, and repression.
