It forces liberals to face the ugly truth about the radical ideologies they're cozying up to for short-term power grabs.

Highlighting Iran's suffrage would mean conceding that the West, flaws and all, is still the most open, tolerant society on the planet.

It would be an admission that socialism crumbles into corruption and mass misery every single time. It would be an admission of what it looks like to invite Islam into a free country.

Iran is living proof of what unchecked "progressive" ideas breed, so the media stays silent. They won't fight for those who are truly voiceless.
