I'm technically a doctor, just not that kind of doctor. Views are my own, unless they’re clever or insightful in which case they’re probably someone else’s.
@AlfredoPaloyo @Andrew___Baker I assume that’s part of the two-hour “gym” session. There’s no way someone needs two hours for a workout unless they’re a pro athlete; even then it’s likely an hour of training and an hour of rehab/recovery.
@wwwojtekk Every economist knows that stars are important!
You’re correct about European dominance, especially at club level. But for the US, the focus should be getting as many players over to top-tier European clubs as possible to get that exposure. Sadly, USA won’t qualify for Euro’24
@wwwojtekk Who, aside from Uruguay for their two Olympics wins, has stars on their national team badges that aren’t World Cup wins? I’m pretty sure Italy didn’t add a fifth after 2020.
@Dmart2549@NathanReade2@baddong23 @alancryptoJD @eternalpissbaby @SaeedDiCaprio Just my opinion and maybe only relevant to certain cases, but I don’t think “working hard” and “owned a state-supported mining company that used forced labor” are synonymous.
@vectornomist Im indifferent to jokes in JMTs. I think JMTs are to get a sense of your understanding of your own research. I care more about personality in small group settings—how I would be working with potential colleagues—than if your talk is entertains.
