@ldnphile In a way it shows the mistakes of our civilisation doesn't it. Imagining an exciting future with jetpacks but no space for the natural world.
Three weeks ago, I had a miscarriage. I was six weeks pregnant. I live in Texas, a state that has effectively banned abortions.
A thread about what it is to cease to be pregnant in a state where abortions are banned:
The UK is on the wrong side of history: urgent action is needed to end the war on Yemen. Boris Johnson must stop arms sales that are prolonging this deadly conflict - sign @CAATuk’s open letter if you agree #YemenCantWait#StopArmingSaudi https://t.co/hKC5GScl2C
This is such a tragic failure by the government, throwing away the opportunity to create better relationships between people and countryside https://t.co/frvYPiXTGQ
An open return train ticket to Darlington yesterday for two of us would have cost £492. We did it for £22 in our electric car. I reckon it would have been around £70 in a petrol car. For so many reasons, surely something needs to be done about these train costs?
Temporary accommodation is another issue that needs to be addressed.
Nobody should be being housed in a Garage, Shed, or a Shipping container. Not to mention the homes falling apart.
@MrsNickyClark @JackieMorrisArt @pollymackenzie The 'compassion' of Tories is deadly. You must think it's about how people feel about themselves. But most people have good intentions. What's important is how their actions affect the world.
Is it not fantastic? Compare the oaks from Turkey with the oak in the book.....3000km in between and 170 years have passed but the same tradition! Pollarding for fodder and fire wood....
@Horsehead13 @DrDanielTurner @JonMitc12738948 @nicktolhurst @LibDems@UKLabour@joswinson@jeremycorbyn@SwapmyVote You need to ignore euro elections and locals. People don't vote like that in national elections. Unfortunately I think the Tory lead is too big to overturn in TW but Labour were second by some way in last national.
