His name is Seamus Culleton. He's been here for 20 years and is married to a U.S. citizen. He is speaking out about his experience in ICE detention for the last 5 months. Please listen and share.
WHY ARE WE SITTING IN OUR COMFORTABLE FUCKING HOMES RIGHT NOW!!!!? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH US!!?
They are drowning children in front of other children. Babies being born from other children are born into this world and never know love, security, or stability. Children who will only know these demons, these fucking monsters, then they’re brutally killed. I have never become nauseous at seeing something terrifying. I am in my car and had to pull over to throw up in an empty bag. Jesus Christ. If we do nothing we deserve to be miserable. We fucking deserve it.
In total, the nation’s top 25 philanthropists have donated $275 billion so far in their lifetimes, an uptick of $34 billion over last year.
Not generous enough to make the top 25 cut: Elon Musk and Larry Page, the world’s two richest people, who together are worth more than $1 trillion. https://t.co/LBHV8294gB

.@SenJeffMerkley slamming DOJ's decisions on Epstein files: "We know that they blocked out whole pages in order to disguise, apparently, the protection of powerful men that they don't want drawn into this discussion."

What should alarm us about the Epstein files isn’t just the appalling details — which are horrific and criminal.
It’s the growing sense that there is small number of elite who see themselves as above the law.
Aliya Rahman, the disabled Minneapolis woman that was dragged out of her car and arrested while on her way to a doctor's appointment, describes what happened after the viral incident, including the nightmarish conditions at the Whipple detention center.
"Approaching the Whipple Center, I saw Black and Brown bodies shackled together, chained together, being marched by yelling agents outdoors. I continue to hear the word 'bodies' because that is how agents to us. 'We're bringing in a body.' 'They're bringing in bodies, 78 at a time. Where do I put them?' 'We can't use that room. There's already a body in there.' You have no reason to believe you will make it out alive if you are already being called a body."
"Agents repeatedly had to stop and ask how to do tasks. I received no medical screening, phone call or access to a lawyer. I was denied a communication navigator when my speech began to slur. Agents laughed as I tried to immobilize my own neck. I asked for my cane and was told no, pulled up my arms and prodded forward and leg irons by agents laughing and saying, 'Walk, you can do it, walk.' Agents did not know if the facility had a wheelchair. When I was finally placed in one to be taken to interrogation, and agent taunted, 'You were driving, right? So your legs do work.'"
"I pleaded for emergency medical care for over an hour after my vision had become blurry, and my heart rate went through the roof, and the pain in my neck and head became unbearable. It was denied. When I became unable to speak, my cellmate pleaded for me. The last sounds I remember before I blacked out on the cell floor where my cellmate banging on the door, pleading for a medic and a voice outside saying, 'We don't want to step on ICE's toes.' When I opened my eyes at Hennepin County's emergency room, I learned I was brought there to be treated for assault."
America’s oligarchs flood our elections with corporate money. In the 2024 election cycle, 100 billionaire families dumped $2.6 billion into federal elections.
When we talk about authoritarianism, it’s not just Donald Trump.
Musk owns X
Bezos owns Twitch
Zuckerberg owns Instagram and Facebook
Larry Ellison controls TikTok
Billionaires increasingly control what we see, hear and read.
A look ahead shows the potential for more colder weather. The 6 to 10 day outlook shows a pattern change with colder than normal temperatures and slightly wetter than normal precipitation. Long range models continue to show the increase potential for snow late next week.
