In 1924, Hachiko, an Akita Inu, came to Tokyo with his owner, Professor Hidesaburo Ueno of the University of Tokyo. Every morning, Hachiko walked with him to Shibuya Station, and every afternoon he returned to meet him after work.

But in May 1925, Professor Ueno died suddenly and never came home.

Hachiko was taken in by another family, but he continued returning to Shibuya Station, waiting for the man he loved. For almost 10 years, he came back again and again — through rain, snow, and countless ordinary days.

Hachiko died in 1935. By then, his story had become known throughout Japan, and a bronze statue was erected at Shibuya Station in 1934, while Hachiko was still alive.

Today, the statue remains one of Tokyo’s most recognizable landmarks — a quiet reminder of a dog who simply kept waiting for the person he loved. ❤️

In 2024 they turned Lord Balaji’s prasad into a political weapon.

Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan stood before cameras and told crores of devotees that animal fat — beef tallow, lard, fish oil — had gone into Tirupati laddus.

Pawan Kalyan went on an 11-day penance. The country was shaken. Sentiments were deliberately set on fire.
Two years later, both CBI-SIT and ED have spoken.

The ghee was adulterated. That part is true. Palm oil, palm kernel oil, palmolein and industrial chemicals were passed off as Agmark cow ghee. A ₹230-crore fraud. Suppliers arrested. Records faked. That is a crime and it must be punished.

What was not found: animal fat.
No beef. No lard. No fish oil. The laboratories said so. The chargesheet said so.

Yesterday’s ED press note listed every adulterant. Animal fat is not on the list.

They knew an investigation was on. They still chose the most inflammatory claim possible because it would travel farthest. That is not piety. That is the lowest form of politics — using a deity’s name to wound millions of believers for electoral gain.

Adulteration of prasad is a betrayal. Weaponising a lie about it is a bigger one.

However,.Sibal shows that his name was included in the 2002 SIR in Patna. In the video, he also displays the enumeration form submitted to the BLO, bearing both his signature and the BLO’s signature. Despite submitting the form and providing his previous SIR details for self-mapping, how were their names still classified as “unmapped”?
This is not an isolated case:
• 13,40,213 people received notices marked “Unmapped with the last SIR”
• 7,65,112 received notices citing “Parent Name Mismatch”
• 5,44,504 received notices citing “Self Name Mismatch”
If even properly submitted and signed forms are being flagged, the Election Commission must explain the reliability of the entire process.

In the 1940s, Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar was committed to his teaching role at the University of Chicago, despite being based at the Yerkes Observatory. Each week, he traveled 80 miles to teach a special course attended by only two students.

The students were Tsung-Dao Lee and Chen-Ning Yang. They proved their mentor's faith was well-placed when they both won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1957, years before Chandrasekhar received the same honor in 1983. Remarkably, this course went down in history as the only one where every attendee received a Nobel Prize, underscoring the extraordinary impact of Chandrasekhar's dedication and teaching.

Four white men abducted a college student at gunpoint from a car outside a dance in 1959 and assaulted her.

Then something happened that had never happened in Florida: an all-white jury convicted all four of them.
Betty Jean Owens. Tallahassee.

She was a student at Florida A&M. Her three friends escaped and went straight to the police. Officers found the car and arrested the men that night — which was itself unusual.

The men confessed. And Betty Jean Owens did the thing the entire system was built to prevent: she testified, in open court, in front of them, and did not waver.

Florida A&M students shut the campus down and packed the courthouse every day of the trial.

All four were convicted and sentenced to life.
It was the first time in Florida's history that white men received life sentences for raping a Black woman.

She was 18 years old and she changed what was possible in that state by refusing to stay silent in a room full of men who assumed she would.

Betty's case was historic—but it also exposes how rarely Black women received that kind of justice for crimes committed against them.
