The federal government has hired a lobbying firm in a $9 million contract to assist in communicating its actions on protecting Christians in Nigeria to the United States government.

According to the lobbying contract document filed with the US Department of Justice, Aster Legal, a law firm in Kaduna state, hired the services of DCI Group on behalf of Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser.

LET THE MUSLIM BREATHE IN THE EAST; DON’T SUFFOCATE THEM

We cannot pretend not to hear the cries coming from the South East. A very dangerous voice note is currently circulating, explicitly inciting violence against Igbo Muslims simply because of their choice of faith.

As highlighted in this video, our brothers and sisters—sons and daughters of the soil—are now living in fear in their own ancestral homes. Some are even considering relocating from the land of their fathers just to stay alive. This is not just religious intolerance; this is a blatant violation of their fundamental human rights.

To the IPOB agitators: You cannot claim to be fighting for freedom and liberation while simultaneously acting as an oppressor to your own kinsmen. How do you fight for justice while denying others the right to pray?

Being Igbo and being Muslim are not mutually exclusive. These are people who speak the same language, eat the same food, and share the same bloodline. Faith is a matter of the heart, not a crime punishable by death.

To the Security Agencies: This is a red alert. We call on the DSS and the Nigeria Police Force to urgently investigate the source of these threats. Do not wait for a tragedy to happen before issuing statements. When citizens cry out that they are being marked for death, the state must act swiftly.

And to the Igbo leaders here, your silence is loud. You must speak up and protect your own people. Diversity is not a weakness; it is a reality of the modern world.

Igbo Muslims have been peaceful for centuries. They have contributed to the peace and economy of the region. They deserve safety, not threats.

Let the Muslims breathe. Do not suffocate them.
