@leeaannx@oneuios 77 years of support is bad. Period. 77 years of security updates is fine as long as spare parts are still being made. 77 years of major OS updates means you'll nuke your device performance. Period.
Glad to have my S10+ still running Android 10 with One UI 2.1
@kro_roe@yvpan1 however especially the bottom part is becoming greyish rather than pitch black with the display off.
I never experienced this but after 7 years I guess it is the panel material aging since it is organic despite not showing burn in
@kro_roe@yvpan1 My phone will become a fossil ahah. To be honest with the battery replacement I did in 2024 and with the OS locked onto One UI 2.1 this phone is still super for daily tasks.
The screen has no burn in as I have used it at the lowest brightness possible
@kro_roe@yvpan1 Well the S29 will be best though as it is going to be the 20th anniversary. However with the S23U you can denfinitely swap your battery in late 2026 and hold on till 2029, not like me with a 2019 S10+ I don't think that its internals will live on that long.
@BrutalLogic107@kro_roe@c3rm1 Me with the S10+ since 2019 hoping to get a big upgrade.
Samsung: you waited 8 years? Well wait 9 as the real major change will be in 2028... or perhaps 10 as we can wait another year to make something good for the 20th anniversary so we won't bother with the S28 series
