Why are we not seeing more prosecutions around Jeff? I talked to an experienced attorney and learned a lot about the difference between criminal investigations and criminal prosecutions. I wanted to make this video to share what I learned with you. In short, the bar for prosecuting somebody in the United States is so much higher than it is for investigating them. And the very unfortunate truth from the attorneys I've spoken with is that almost zero of the information in the files would be considered court admissible. Moreover, it turns out that prosecutors who go after these people aggressively can face massive personal consequences. I'm going to highlight a case where that happened. And finally, there is a layer to this that centers around state secrets that makes it even more complicated.
