Isaac Newton was born Christmas Day, 1642. The apple tree in MIT's President's Garden is a direct descendant of the actual tree believed to have inspired Newton's theory of gravity. Happy Newtonmas! 🍎 https://t.co/2DCtlzrATw
We found that a stack of 2D metals with broken subsystem symmetry can exhibit anisotropic non-Fermi liquid behavior with
1. Short-lived quasiparticles t ~ 1/|ω log|ω||
2. Logarithmic corrections to specific heat C ~ T (log(1/T))^2
Comments are welcome.

@chris_juravich An integration by parts turns it into an elementary integral (I used beta function for brevity, but even that is not necessary as the indefinite integral can be evaluated)
@sanskriti_astro I guess, the observed spectrum is roughly a blackbody spectrum, from which you can estimate the temperature, and there are peaks on top of that blackbody spectrum which are caused by the chemical composition of CGM? In that case, what exactly does not match with existing theory?
Yesterday, I had a fun conversation with Vinay on Gulmohar Marg, IISc.
“I feel some sort of awe about Renormalization Group.” – Me
“You know you have become a professor when it turns into an “aww”.” – Vinay
@physibaram@agk_tweets They have also cut down a lot of trees (the patch is almost as big as a football stadium) between NIAS and Bel road gate. Students are not allowed to go there, but it is visible from the new chemistry department.
