@BJegorovic It really depends on the organism and source. Gram negatives will see shorter courses (7d) recommended instead of 14, especially for urinary sources. Clabsi w mrse for 7 vs the old 14d after line removal. Abdominal abscess can be as short as 5d w source control

@transplantID I have started to train EPIC to convert all of my habitual abbreviations to written words (pt -> patient, abx -> antibiotics, etc) to try and reduce my AFP (abbreviation foot print). Incidentally I also try to use it to switch my use of brand names to generics (augmentin,bactrim)
