Things I’ve Learned
What I wish I knew at 18…
1. College is mostly a scam
I’m glad I went to college, because I wanted to work on Wall Street. But today, I wouldn’t waste $300,000 on it, and I wouldn’t want to work in banking. Instead, I’d load up on college credits during high school, go to a school like the University of Texas to have fun, graduate in 3 years debt-free, and travel around the world for a year.
I think we can all agree on a few things:
We have $36 trillion of national debt growing at a rapid rate, that must be refinanced and issued at a materially higher interest rate as our bonds come due and as new funds are needed.
We had a $1.8 trillion deficit in fiscal 2024.
There is an enormous amount of fraud, waste, and inappropriate spending in our government budget.
It is illegal and/or otherwise should not be permitted for our government to fund activities that it cannot do directly through NGOs and other non-profits.
@elonmusk has a proven ability to takeover dysfunctional organizations and turn them into highly functioning ones while massively reducing wasteful overhead and other spending. See Twitter.
@realDonaldTrump won the election with a mandate for eliminating wasteful government spending and ending regulations that interfere with our country’s progress.
President Trump announced during his campaign that Elon would be appointed to oversee @DOGE. In other words, the American people voted for and signed up for DOGE and Elon as its leader.
We are extremely fortunate to have one of our greatest business leaders and entrepreneurs devote a considerable amount of his limited time for free to help our country.
We are extremely fortunate that some of our most talented young people have signed on to help DOGE succeed.
DOGE is just getting started and has already identified a massive amount of waste and likely fraud, and has begun cutting a material amount of costs.
It is axiomatic that those who are beneficiaries of waste, fraud and unnecessary government spending will be the most threatened by the cuts that DOGE is making in these programs. These beneficiaries of waste and fraud are also extremely worried about the reputational, legal and potential criminal risk they will suffer by being exposed by DOGE.
The beneficiaries of government waste, fraud and inappropriate spending will protest loudly and state false reasons for why DOGE must be stopped because their careers and livelihoods are threatened and put at risk by DOGE’s success. I have seen this movie many times before, but in the corporate world.
The president has stated clearly that he is overseeing DOGE’s activities and that no important decisions will be made without his consent.
Our legal system will ensure that no laws are broken as DOGE executes on its important mission.
Other efforts over the last many decades to eliminate government waste and fraud have totally failed.
DOGE is our best hope for fixing our fundamentally flawed and highly ineffective bureaucratic system for running our country.
Elon and Trump will face enormous pressure and pushback from those who benefit from the current corrupt system.
All Americans must therefore make their voices heard loud and clear about how much they support DOGE, Elon and our president’s efforts to help our country. We cannot let DOGE fail as our country is rapidly on the path to insolvency.
Let’s not let our country down. Let’s do our part in making sure our Congressmen and Senators know that we are 100% behind the president, Elon and DOGE.
It’s the least we can do.

This @Stanford professor, @joboaler, has led an unprecedented and devastating assault on mathematics standards in the name of equity in California. Her efforts contributed to the removal of Algebra 1 from 8th grade and helped introduce racialized math, among other injustices. Again, all done in the name of racial equity. If robbing countless Californian kids of their right to a quality education is not a crime, then I don't know what it is.
"The anonymous complaint, backed by a California-based group of math-and-science focused professionals, alleges that Professor Jo Boaler—the most prominent influence on California’s K-12 math framework that nudges schools away from accelerated math pathways—has in 52 instances misrepresented supporting research she has cited in her own work in order to support her conclusions. These include the notions that taking timed tests causes math anxiety, mixing students of different academic levels boosts achievement, and students have been found to perform better when teachers don’t grade their work. This pattern of "citation misrepresentation," the complaint alleges, violates Stanford’s standards of professional conduct for faculty, showing a disregard for accuracy, and may violate the university's research integrity rules."
And:
"Boaler runs a center out of Stanford called Youcubed, which produces data science courses promoted in the California math framework and offers consulting services. Records from one California public school district showed she charged $5,000 per hour in fees. She has also cultivated a high profile in educational and progressive circles. After she drew negative press for the initial drafts of the equity-focused California math framework that she led, she sought help from Democratic megadonor Laurene Powell Jobs to advocate for the guidelines to California governor Gavin Newsom, according to emails."

During a press conference intended to communicate to the American people that he has all his marbles, Joe Biden refers to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as the "president of Mexico."
THIS. COULD. BE. BIG.
Biden - by all accounts - is senile.
Special Counsel is not filing charges but this kinda seems worse:
"In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden's memory was worse. He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended (if it was 2013 - when did I stop being Vice President?"), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began in 2009, am I still Vice President?"). He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died. And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him. Among other things, he mistakenly said he "had a real difference" of opinion with General Karl Eikenberry, when, in fact, Eikenberry was an ally whom Mr. Biden cited approvingly in his Thanksgiving memo to President Obama.
In a case where the government must prove that Mr. Biden knew he had possession of the classified Afghanistan documents after the vice presidency and chose to keep those documents, knowing he was violating the law, we expect that at trial, his attorneys would emphasize these limitations in his recall."
According to famed reporter Seymour Hersh, CIA Director Burns had to warn Zelensky to stop stealing so much money. Also Zelensky’s subordinates were upset that he was taking too large a cut of the spoils. Something to keep in mind as the political crisis plays out in Kiev.
