I have not made any kind of statement that Karnataka would not release water to Tamil Nadu.

Karnataka’s inability to release water is dictated by negligible flows into Four Karnataka reservoirs namely KRS, Kabini, Harangi and Hemavathy and insufficient storages in these reservoirs.

Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) is the competent Authority for taking decision on the release of water from Karnataka Reservoirs based on the recommendations of Cauvery Water Regulatory Committee (CWRC) and Government of Karnataka has no role in this issue.

The Cumulative Live Storage (MDDL) in Four reservoirs of Karnataka as on 30th June 2026 was 15.761 TMC, which is insufficient for Drinking water needs of the state for next three months.

The cumulative inflows into the into four reservoirs, till the CWRC meeting on 30.06.2026, was 4.05 TMC (Biligundlu 2.915 TMC).

Karnataka submitted in the meetings of CWRC on 16.06.2026 and 30.06.2026, CWMA meeting on 23.06.2026 the storage in the four reservoirs will have to be conserved for meeting the drinking water needs to Bengaluru Metropolitan region, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagar and other cities.

The submissions of Karnataka in the meetings have been considered by the CWMA and CWRC and decisions were rendered as:

Since mid of May, the IMD has been publicising in various News Dailies that El-Nino Phenomenon has set in resulting in delayed monsoon and deficit rainfall.

I hope that the South-West monsoon will pick up in the coming days and sufficient flows would be available in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu reservoirs.

TOI में यह गणित छपा है कि अगर सरकार के दावे से चलें तो कोई गाड़ी 15 KM / लीटर का एवरेज देती थी तो E 20 के कारण 14.5 KM/ लीटर देंगी यानी 3% गिरावट. लोग कह रहे हैं कि 15-20% माइलेज कम हो रहा है. अगर ऐसा है तो एवरेज 15 KM से घटकर 12-13 KM रह जाएगा. सड़कों पर ज़्यादातर गाड़ियाँ पुरानी हैं. अगर यह हिसाब सही है तो पेट्रोल की खपत घटने की बजाय बढ़ सकती है. सरकार का तर्क रहा है कि 20% Ethanol मिलाने से क्रूड ऑयल की बचत होगी.

सरकार के दावों से उलट जनता कह रही है कि उनकी गाड़ियों का माइलेज 10-20 फीसदी तक कम हो गया है .
अगर इतना कम माइलेज हो गया तो उसकी भरपाई कौन करेगा ? क्यों जनता भरपाई करे ? मुनाफा सरकार और तेल कंपनियां कमाए , खामियाजा जनता उठाए ? ये कौन सा हिसाब है भाई ?
जनता से E 10 या E 5 का विकल्प भी छीन लिया गया है और माइलेज का भी संकट है .

१. किसानों की आय कैसे बढ़ाती है इथेनॉल? क्या किसान इथेनॉल बना कर भेजता है? किसान पहले भी धान-गन्ना-मक्का उगाता था, आज भी वही कर रहा है।

२. सड़कें सही करने से विदेशी तेल पर निर्भरता, इथेनॉल मिक्सिंग से 5-7 गुणा अधिक कम होगी।

३. जो ‘सच्चाई’ @HardeepSPuri बता रहे हैं, वह आधा है। यह क्यों नहीं बताते कि ये सब फ्यूल आपने उपभोक्ता के इंजन की कम्पैटिबिलिटी देखे बिना जबरन डाला है?

४. इथेनॉल से समस्या नहीं है, समस्या तुम्हारे और @nitin_gadkari के झूठ से है जिसने भारत के 04/2023 के पहले बीस करोड़ पेट्रोल इंजन में जबरन ऐसा फ्यूल डलवाया जिसके लिए वो तैयार नहीं थे।

घूम-घूम कर बकलोली करने से अच्छा है कि इंजन की #% मारना बंद करो, E10 और शुद्ध पेट्रोल का विकल्प हर पम्प पर दो।
