Paraprofessional Devin Clark was one of dozens of BTU members to testify last night urging the School Committee to agree to a contract that pays paraprofessionals what they deserve. Our schools should not rely on the labor of workers forced to have multiple jobs to survive!
Last night more than 200 BTU members filled the school committee chamber to continue to fight for a fair contract that our schools deserve. It’s past time our students with the highest needs are supported and our lowest paid workers are valued!
Packed house for @BTU66 contract solidarity at tonight's school committee meeting.
Teachers deserve a contract and students deserve schools with full staffing!

Massachusetts friends and @UAWRegion9A members: Remember to Vote No on Question 3. Drivers deserve a union that will democratically represent them, not a shortcut that Uber/Lyft support #mapoli https://t.co/W2GFKhUbTr
Last night, BTU members held a stand-out on Day Blvd. to raise awareness about the struggles paras face each day just to make ends meet. It is impossible to survive in Boston on a starting salary that barely breaks 30k. Many of our paras work multiple jobs just to get by.
After months of advocacy from BTU members, the district presented its first proposal that addresses the use of its forced one teacher/multiple license approach to Inclusion on Oct. 8th
Our next session is scheduled for Oct. 17th
Today's Postcard to the Mayor: English High Teacher Emily Silas calls on the district to commit the necessary resources to ensure our Inclusion Done Right vision becomes a reality.
Check out @boston25 coverage from Tuesday when the BTU delivered thousands of educators' hand-written postcards to the Mayor calling for Inclusion Done Right, Equitable Pay and a Fair Contract!
