@cuddlyogre@rfleury Not introducing 3 new languages and respective interpreters to the project and its runtime. Who and why you hire people depends a lot on the project. I wouldn't hire someone who knows react to work on a godot project. I'd hire a godot dev.
@cuddlyogre@rfleury web and game uis ain't the same problem
devs can learn new stuff, they'r not "built in" a tech stack
we all would be writing scratch/python/js/whatever we learnt first only
popularity doesn't justify it as the best tool for the job, not even the "simplest"/"easiest" to pick up
@cuddlyogre@rfleury Yeah nah. You said the alternative is another HTML CSS knockoff (not true).
And, in this new "question", you are asking for something as "popular" as HTML/CSS/JS, that also looks the same because *you don't want to learn something else*.
Doesn't mean an alt. doesn't exist.
@DonaldPMitchell Nice, but, I mean, does it matter when what runs on it is Next.js -> React -> Virtual DOM -> JS -> V8 -> C++ at 20x perf overhead penalty anyways...
