Last night FareShare was featured on @SkyNews, with an interview with FareShare's CEO George Wright at the @FareShareSussex warehouse 💚
Thank you so much @skysarahjane for speaking to us, have a watch below 👇
"This survey paints a stark picture of a crisis that shows no signs of easing. The fact that almost eight out of 10 people accessing food from FareShare via local charities are women is staggering" - George Wright, FareShare's CEO

People are struggling to eat while 3 million tonnes of good to eat food goes to waste on our farms and factories.
Our supporters agree that the Government needs to act now, including the @NFUtweets who represents 80% of all farmers.
@TheresaIsSleepy Would you be interested in stories about how surplus food is being used by amazing charities across the uk help bring communities together, combatting issues like mental heath and isolation?
With the new school year just around the corner, new research has revealed that more teachers than ever are being forced to personally provide food to students due to welfare concerns. Yet a staggering 3m tonnes of good-to-eat food is still going to waste on UK farms every year👇

@GWRHelp Just heard that the Plymouth-Paddington service that arrives at 8.35 is due to be down from 9 to 5 carriages permanently. How will you justify this when it’s full and standing by the time it gets to Newbury? With these extortionate fares? What a joke!
Do any of my #travel industry friends know anyone who would be interested in a collection of souvenir postcards from the 1960s? A random selection of places visited by some elderly aunts - Holland, Granada, Norway, Alicante… seems a shame to throw them away 🤷♀️
Happy #EarthDay2023! Today we're shining a light on the issue of food surplus. Instead of letting food slip through the cracks, we collaborate closely with local food producers to redistribute their surplus food, feeding those in need while also protecting our planet 💚 🌎🌿
🚨Excited to announce that after a bit of a break I am taking up a new role starting today on the press and PR team @FareShareUK! A bag of nerves at the moment but looking forward to meeting everyone and getting stuck in 🍏
