A Flydubai flight travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv was diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, after an incident involving the pilots triggered emergency signals during the journey.Flight FZ1073, operated by a Boeing 737, first transmitted a general emergency signal while flying over the region. Minutes later, the aircraft transmitted a signal associated with possible unlawful interference, briefly raising fears of a hijacking.

Tax Return Deadline Ends Today: Late Filers Could Face Fines Up to Rs100,000
The deadline for filing income tax returns for the 2025–26 tax year ends today, September 30, with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) urging taxpayers to submit their returns before the deadline.From October 1, penalties for late filing are set to increase. Individual taxpayers could face a fine of up to Rs25,000, while penalties for Associations of Persons (AOPs) may rise to Rs50,000. Companies could face penalties of up to Rs100,000.

As an important component of the Karachi BRT Red Line project, the Mosamiyat Flyover represents a significant step towards strengthening Karachi’s transport infrastructure and enhancing connectivity across the city. This landmark project is part of the Government of Sindh’s continued efforts to modernise Karachi’s urban transport network and promote a more efficient, integrated and sustainable mobility system for its citizens.

Pakistan Launches Jinnah Peoples Train Service in Balochistan
QUETTA: Pakistan has launched the Jinnah Peoples Train, Balochistan’s first mass-transit rail service, connecting Quetta and surrounding areas through the Sariab–Kuchlak route. The service was inaugurated by Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.The project involved the rehabilitation and upgrading of a 32-kilometre railway track, completed in around 120 days at a reported cost of Rs3 billion. The route has seven stations: Kuchlak, Baleli, Sheikh Manda, GOR, Quetta, Lor Kariz and Sariab.
