That claim is false, there is no verse in the Quran that sanctions killing someone for blasphemy. Before condemning this person, look at the actual precedent: the Prophet lived for years among people in Mecca and Medina who mocked him, insulted him publicly, and later took up arms(weapons) against him. He had the power, on multiple occasions, to execute those who insulted him, and largely chose not to. When he entered Mecca as its conqueror in 630 CE, he granted amnesty to virtually the entire population, including people who had composed poetry mocking him for years. A few individuals were excluded, but the general policy was forgiveness, not retribution for insult. That’s the standard he set. This person is radical, extremist, and very judgemental. It saddens me that he has real listeners (I mean human beings). He doesn’t even understand the concept of sharia, and how’s its executed. Similar to our judiciary system, there are men(judges) who determines what punishment best fit for a particular crime. We don’t take power in our own hands, and act like animals, Islam is a system, a tradition, and a culture.
