Let’s pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for waking me up this Sunday morning. Thank You for another day of life, rest, and a moment to reset.
Lord, as I step into today, help me slow down, breathe, and be present. Fill my mind with peace, my heart with calmness, and my spirit with renewal.
Please remove any stress, worry, or heaviness, and replace it with joy, gratitude, and clarity. Restore my energy and prepare me mentally, physically, and emotionally for the week ahead.
Guide my steps, align everything in my life according to Your will, and help me trust You in every area.
Cover me, my loved ones, and everyone reading this prayer from any harm or evil. Let today be peaceful, restful, and filled with blessings.
We love You, God. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.
Luke Falk shared a Mike Leach story that stopped me cold:
Two kids. One rich. One poor.
Every training camp, Coach Leach told his team about these 2 kids.
The rich kid has two choices.
Get soft. Get entitled. Expect everything handed to him because he was handed more.
Or take the resources, the coaching, the opportunities, and compound them into something greater.
The poor kid has two choices too.
Say nobody gave him anything. Blame the world. Make his circumstances the reason he never became what he could have been.
Or outwork everyone in the room.
Luke said the locker room had both. Kids from wealth. Kids from nothing. Kids with every advantage. Kids who scraped for every inch.
Same choice for all of them.
Ownership or victimhood.
Fuel or excuse.
The rich kid can waste the head start or build on it.
The poor kid can drown in the deficit or weaponize it.
Greatness doesn't come from where you start.
It comes from which kid you choose to feed.

Dear God,
Good morning! Thank You for waking me up and loving me unconditionally in such a powerful way. Fill me with confidence in You. Remind me that you are the provider of all things, writing my story. Help me not to question, not to grow anxious, and not be fearful. Guide my steps…You are my help. I know You’re already ahead of me, so I choose to follow you. Let today be filled with reminders of your great love for me! I love you Lord and give you my life as an offering to you!
In Jesus Name,
Amen 🙏
“Never give up. Eagerly follow the Holy Spirit and serve the Lord.”
- Romans 12:11
No matter where you are in life-enjoy the journey!
If you are constantly worrying about what is “next” to make you happy, you suffer from DESTINATION DISEASE!
Don’t be so caught up with then & there-stay focused on the here & now!
Don’t trade “what’s next” for “what’s now”! 🙏
The most dangerous player on the court isn’t the strongest, fastest, or most skilled.
It’s the one who’s willing to outwork everyone else for all 4 quarters.
If you, as the coach, are calling a play/directions every possession, you’ve got a coach-led team.
If you’re the only one talking in timeouts/halftimes, you’ve got a coach-led team.
If you’re constantly telling players how it needs to be and never asking their thoughts/opinions, you’ve got a coach-led team.
Coach yourself out of job (in a positive way) by the end of every season.
After all, this is about our players and not ourselves, right?
Dear God,
Thank you for another new day. As I step into the week, I surrender everything into Your hands—my plans, my worries, my desires, and my needs. Go before me, be with me, continue to whisper words of life to me. Help me to walk in obedience, to seek You first in all things. I declare that today, this week, this month, this year will be filled with your goodness, favor, and tremendous blessings. Renew my heart, my mind, and my spirit. Let me experience growth, transformation, and deeper trust in You. I love you!
In Jesus Name,
Amen 🙏
"In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly."
- Psalm 5:3
Your mindset is the #1 determining factor into what you do daily and how well you do it. Mindset affects how you handle opportunity, adversity, change, challenge, success, and preparation. Skillset means nothing without mindset (higher performers have both).
Being coachable is a competitive edge.
Take feedback without flinching.
Apply it without excuse.
Grow without needing praise.
Most players protect their ego.
Winners protect their growth.
Feedback isn’t an attack.
It’s an advantage.
Use it.
Facts. When i played for Coach Pitino at Kentucky we had guys that didn’t play much go at the starters every day. As the captain of the team i told them every day to come at us. Come at me. If they didn’t i was in their asses. The players that get no credit make the team !
You don't develop a championship ATTITUDE after you win a championship.
You develop a championship ATTITUDE before you win championships.
“The championship level guys are just completely uncommon. They don’t care.
They don’t care about the time
They don’t care about the inconvenience
They don’t care about the distraction
They want to win...love to compete and love to get better.”
