Kathakali and related artforms evolved from Koodiyattam which traces its origin to koothu, which has been prevalent since the Sangam era. Kathakali and Yakshagana have no real connection.
BS. Kathakali mostly originated from Koodiyattam. While it's good to have pride in your language and art forms, it's ridiculous to spread hatred and misinformation on other cultures.

Alarming situation, both in Varkala & Kovalam.
The international beach destinations are now filled with neighbouring Tamil brothers, happy to welcome all, but clicking girls vdos & images are not acceptable and it’s becoming their usual habit !
E. Sreedharan is ignoring Kasaragod in his high-speed train proposal for Kerala because he is a BJP supporter, and he is trying to help Kannada BJP politicians who are attempting to peddle the false claim that the Kerala Government has ignored Kasaragod district and create a narrative for merging Kasaragod with Karnataka, even though around 82.69% of the population of Kasaragod district is Malayali, according to the 2011 Census.👇🏻
Sreedharan's proposal for a high-speed train in Kerala that ignores Kasaragod should be REJECTED by every Malayali who loves Kerala.
Kasaragod is an integral part of Kerala, and if we are building a high-speed train in Kerala, it should run from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram.
This person has absolutely no idea about the communities of Kerala. Community-wise, the Malayali Muslims are the largest group, followed by Eezhavas and Nairs.
Yes the true ethnic malayalis only Tamils
Tamil caste
Nadar, parayar, pulayar, pallar about 80℅ of the kerala population.
Except Nambothiri, Nair, ambalavasi
Despite the Centre’s directive to sing Vande Mataram in full at functions attended by the Hon. Governor, it was not followed in the Kerala Assembly.
This is an insult to the Hon. Governor, Lok Bhavan, and the national song in its 150th year.
The government’s decision clearly reflects its willingness to bend to the positions of Jamaat-e-Islami and the @cpimspeak, who question the place of Vande Mataram in public life.
@vdsatheesan must clarify since when Congress became uncomfortable with Vande Mataram, first sung at the 1896 session of the Indian National Congress.
Strongly condemn this disrespect to our national heritage.

Majority of Malayalam speaking communities are not Tamils by caste and Parayars in Kerala are ethnic Malayalis who follow Malayali customs and rites. TVK should make its stance clear on the Mullaperiyar issue and why it's penetrating into the 'Tamil areas' of Karnataka.
