@DayDreamThis CC acting like she was gonna set a screen created that miscommunication that got her free. That play seems to have KM as a first option, Lexie as a second and then CC on the backend. Great read by Sophie after the Mystics blew up the KM cut
@DBGyt_@NoaDalzell Right now the motion offense looks a lot like a headless chicken running around. Aside from the PnR, I don’t know why we never see any Spain action for AB. Also KM is asked to iso from standstill instead of attacking from a cut where she has an advantage
@CoachDunn137 Also elbow hubs can be utilized with AB in the AT role to an extent but neither CC or KM are good enough screeners for effective split actions
@CoachDunn137 The other thing I see is it get KM in a lot of iso looks at the Wings without necessarily creating an advantage for her. She can score but it’s not making life easier for an elite guard like her. Also, I don’t think I’ve seen a Spain pnr from her ever which is baffling
@manback732633@raya4 They have published details about how it’s calculated and the data that goes in there. This is just a weakness of using play-by-play data and assigning values to the end result without tracking what caused the end result
@AKAgossips@GrvntYoung Every stat measures something specific. Points and rebounds give no context about minutes or efficiency or effectiveness. Assists are subjective. Advanced stats are indicators of different things. If you don’t know what the weakness of stats are don’t use them in arguments
@godfavoursme242 It’s been shown time after time that the creation of easier baskets by adventurous passes offsets the expected higher turnovers. A bad shot at the end of the shot clock isn’t a turnover but might as well be.
@GrvntYoung So after figuring out what this stat does, I will point out though that the type of defensive lapses from CC won’t show in the net points. Instead, it will penalize CC and the help defender almost equally. That explains why AB’s def net points are so low.
@GrvntYoung I did some more digging…. It’s good. Still suffers from some weaknesses due to the nature of play by play and the type of measurement but should stabilize sooner than most

@iknowWhiteGold I don’t know what KM was doing and u can’t see what MHA’s matchup was doing and why KM rotated to her at the top of the key instead of splitting the difference. That forced AB to cover and leave a baseline cutter.
@Deuce1042 He was an average or slightly negative on ball defender and an above average team defender. As he’s gotten stronger he’s become a better on ball defender.
@DragonflyJonez Curry is so bad at this as well. Listening to his press conferences is useless cause he’s so boring. Atleast Bron in the last few years cares less and says more interesting stuff.
@cleoabram While I think that the Luce looks more like a Maserati than a Ferrari, I love the concept of the glasshouse and the outer body faring making front and back wings. Doing it that way is going to really push the wheels into the road for grip during fast corners.
@ChrisEsplin Thanks… was it a spectacular show of human achievement? No, But it does show that a scientific approach to athletic performance can yield results, even in a short time
