“A Ring employee viewed thousands of video recordings belonging to at least 81 unique female users. He used the cameras like porn. The employee focused his prurient searches on cameras whose names indicated they surveilled intimate spaces: master bedroom, master bathroom. The employee perused female customers and employees' videos, often for more than an hour each day.

When a coworker reported that employee to a manager, he said, quote, "It is normal for an engineer to view so many accounts."’

This has happened at least 11 times without the Ring owner being notified

The employee viewing private videos was confirmed by the FTC. In its 2023 complaint and settlement with Ring and Amazon, the FTC detailed that one male employee viewed thousands of video recordings belonging to at least 81 unique female users

Ohh and that 11 times video footage was shared with the government without the owners consent was in just 1 year… under the Biden Admin in 2022

This is completely my personal opinion, but the overwhelming bipartisan support for moving the Continuing Resolution forward, after nearly a year of fighting over CRs, suggests to me that both Republicans and Democrats were concerned about the possibility of a government shutdown amid Senator Mitch McConnell’s absence.

Whether either party ever admits it is beside the point. I simply want to thank both Senate Republicans and Democrats for working together to help prevent an October government shutdown that could have harmed our national security.

I also hope Congress eventually investigates how Senator McConnell’s office was run during his prolonged absence.

Teacher posts video of mold destroying everything she paid for in her classroom… and gets fired for it.

A teacher came back from summer break to find her entire classroom covered in mold.
Her chair. Her ottoman. Picture frames. Posters. Books she kept neat all year. All ruined because there was no AC running in the building over the summer.

She said it out loud: teachers are the ones funding these classrooms in the first place, and they do not get paid enough for this.

Then the video got taken down. And according to multiple posts circulating, she was fired for sharing it.

She was not complaining about the school’s budget. She was showing the damage to items she paid for with her own money so kids would have a decent classroom.

This is the system. Teachers spend their own paychecks to make rooms livable, then face consequences for documenting when the building itself is unsafe.

Parents deserve to know what their kids are walking into. Teachers should not lose their jobs for saying it.
