@gregisenberg Strong disagree. @remindmetweets in 5 years. 2 and 4 already possible/happening yesterday. Tasks that require precision and/or nuance will require a human in the loop for the foreseeable future - nothing I've seen in recent LLMs will change that.
@levelsio Tell me you don't know anything about on demand grocery delivery without telling me you don't know anything about on demand grocery delivery. Refer all the points in the replies, plus about a dozen other issues.
@ProfRayWills@RemindMeOfThis in 2027. No way, not even in advanced economies, and not even for annual sales alone. Not enough raw materials, not enough charging infrastructure, not how adoption curves work, not politically or economically viable
@apglo It's rubbish. But I think the social media vitriol is a response to the excessive raise for a business model proven to be totally flawed based on the creds of the founder (who had no experience in the industry). What it represents is Peak ZIRP and everyone knew it.
@mirojurcevic@ProfRayWills@JohnStossel I'm still amazed that we don't talk about this at all. And of course I've EVs predominate we will look back with incredulity at how we ever accepted breathing in so much particulate matter
Everyone thinks the biggest energetic impact of trees is that they capture solar light and store some of its energy via photosynthesis. It isn't. Their biggest impact is that they absorb vast amounts of solar and local heat as they suck water out of the ground and evaporate it.
@johnb78 Disagree with this take strongly. Cahill is a monstrosity that mostly obscures the view of the harbour. Yes we have a decent amount of rain than say Melb or London but also a) far more sunshine hours, b) umbrellas exist, c) hats and sunscreen exist d) a temperate mild climate
@AnnetteBeacher What is your view on the impact of soaring input prices to businesses and diminishing consumer confidence, which s surely inevitable with tumbling paper wealth, high inflation? I see a contraction within a year
@AusElectoralCom@jaysimmo3@katloneill@abc730 Wow, what a pathetic response. So by this logic a journalist can happily refer to the LNP as the "Murdoch" party or any other donor and that will be interpreted as "shorthand". Comical
@dylanjmcconnell Everything comfortably under $80 not 6 months ago! Crazy wide spreads too. Eraring early closure also contributing but mostly fuel price driven.
@ryanesplin@dylanjmcconnell@4paulmcardle I should also mention that the 8-quarter fwd index has been climbing steadily across all states for the last two months. My brain dump was probably more in relation to this longer horizon trend.
@ryanesplin@dylanjmcconnell@4paulmcardle Will read GenInsights21 conclusions and test my theory. My thoughts are mostly speculative as not following the market every day.
@ryanesplin@dylanjmcconnell@4paulmcardle ... accelerated closure schedule. Also the possibility of 2-shifting coal units (switch-off during solar window), which would lift the -ive solar window prices closer to zero and lift peak prices again to cover ramp-up costs. volatilityโฌ๏ธ due to > VRE causing > risk premium. 2/2
