Dear @krishnabgowda Sir,
If footpaths near Vidhan Soudha can be so impeccable, why can't rest of the city also have such scientifically designed footpaths? I'm sure you feel therapeutic walking on the stretch. Please add such quality footpaths across Bangalore! 🙏
We all would love to walk and experience our city and not just travel through it.
Thanks Minister @krishnabgowda All eyes will be on you as the Minister for the richest and best city in India and A No 1 Global tech city. @DKShivakumar We have very high expectations
The #SupremeCourt today questioned whether children of families that have achieved educational and economic advancement through #reservation should continue to avail OBC reservation benefits, observing that such advancement results in social mobility too.

Open letter to Indians in America.
--
Dear brothers and sisters from Bharat:
Like I did 37 years ago, you arrived in America with no money but with a good education and cultural heritage from Bharat. You achieved outstanding success. America was good to us. For that we must remain grateful - gratitude is our Bharatiya way.
Yet today, a significant number of Americans, may be not the majority but not too far from it either, believe that Indians "take away" American jobs and our success in America was unfairly earned.
You may think the next election will fix this, but your choice would be between people who hate our Bharatiya civilisation and people who hate civilisation itself. That is the "hard right" vs "woke left" battle. You are mere bystanders to that conflict.
Meanwhile there is one thing that is true now and will be true in the future: the respect Indians command world-wide will substantially depend on the fortunes of India herself. If India remains poor, the woke left will give us moral lectures with pity and the hard right, different moral lectures with scorn ("hellhole") and we must not confuse either with respect.
Respect in today's world, along with prosperity and security, comes from one source: a nation's technological prowess. India produces sufficient brain power to achieve that prowess but alas we exported so much of that talent, particularly to America. As we develop that prowess in India, our civilisational strength will assert itself.
As difficult as it is for many of you to contemplate this, please come back home. Bharat Mata needs your talent. Our vast youthful population needs the technology leadership you gained over the years to guide them towards prosperity. Let's do it with a missionary zeal.
Respectfully
Sridhar Vembu
On the special occasion of his birth centenary, paying homage to Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji of the Shri Kashi Math Samsthan, Varanasi. He devoted his life towards service and spirituality. He set up numerous institutions, research centres and was passionate about spreading the joys of education among people. His teachings emphasise simplicity, kindness and righteousness. Equally commendable are his efforts to preserve and popularise India’s culture and value systems that originated in our land.
If seats are already reserved for SC/ST/OBC, what’s the logic behind lowering the cut-off?
Keep one merit standard.
If a reserved candidate clears it, they take the open/reserved seat. Fair.
If after 3 rounds seats remain vacant, convert them to open category or leave them unfilled.
But lowering the bar and calling it equality?
That defeats the whole idea of merit.
Reservation should ensure representation, not dilute standards.
Make no mistake - India will avenge this terror attack with all its might.
But this time round a billion Indians demand an assurance - that anyone who attends the funeral of terrorists who carried out this attack, will be considered a potential terrorist. Enough is enough.
Americans need to understand some cultural things about India:
1. They are tough negotiators. They'll never accept a bad deal.
2. They hate being bullied. They won't respond violently. But they won't budge either.
3. Indians are very patriotic. If push came to shove they'll all rally behind the nation no matter what the cost.
President Trump's belligerent attitude will not help America. It may work with NATO nations, but India has lived for years when America was hostile to it. India is used to that hostility. President Trump can tweet a million insults and India will not take the bait.
Enough of your caste-based politics, @INCIndia@RahulGandhi. For once, try doing something that actually serves the nation instead of dividing it further for votes.
Congress is Hell-Bent on Destroying the Future of General Category Students
First, it was the 85% reservation push, now it’s the Rohith Vemula Act, where Congress has cleverly included OBCs and religious minorities along with SC/ST—
Turning it into a tool to target General Category students silently but aggressively.
This is about creating an environment where General Category students are constantly trapped in fear of false cases, social boycotts, and legal harassment, just for existing in educational spaces.
Congress knows what they are doing. They are deliberately creating a SC/ST/OBC/Minority vs General Category divide, to secure vote banks and kill merit once and for all.
The message is clear:
If you’re a General Category student, your future doesn’t matter to them.
Karnataka is tabling Rohith Vemula Bill this Monsoon
The bill safeguards below students-
- SC/ST/OBC
- Muslims/Minorities
But it excludes GC Hindus students
Why? Why not protect every student interests?
This is exactly what vote-bank appeasement politics is & we REJECT it!
I request Modi ji to balance Ladli Behen Yojana with Lateral Entry Yojana. While our Ladli Behens get good incentives, our experienced, highly skilled workforce, including NRIs who have worked in top companies and research institutions who want to come back to India and work for India even at low salaries, are shunned by govt institutions. Lateral Entry Yojana will create space for them in all Govt institutions based on merit. While China has programs paying millions to get back its NRC talent, India isn't even giving space. Let every babu, officer, engineer in govt institutions compete with these lateral entries based on merit for the next promotion.

South Africa now has the highest unemployment rate in the world — 33% !!
Here’s why it happened:
▪ Govt brought race-based #Reservations in both govt & private jobs.
▪ Private firms with 50+ employees were forced to hire based on race.
▪ Many skilled unreserved people left the country.
▪ Even with Reservations, many candidates were not job-ready & jobs remained vacant.
▪ Many Foreign investors pulled out.
▪ Small businesses shut down because they couldn’t meet quota targets.
The result?
A crashing economy, rising crime, brain drain & the world’s highest unemployment rate.
India is also being pushed in the same direction !
Caste politics, #CasteCensus & demand for
Reservations in private jobs will make us the next South Africa.
We still have time to save our country!!
