Respect Judges. But the Judiciary Must Also Earn the People's Trust.

What happened today in the सुप्रीम कोर्ट where a petitioner-in person named प्रबल प्रताप abused the CJI inside the courtroom is completely unacceptable.
A court is a place of justice not anger. Judges must be respected even when we disagree with their decisions.

But this incident also reflects a deeper problem.
Across India, millions of people wait years, sometimes decades for justice. Delays, repeated adjournments and rising case backlogs have left many citizens frustrated and hopeless. That frustration can never justify abusing judges but the judiciary cannot ignore the growing public anger either.

This is not the first such incident. Similar disruptions have taken place in the #SupremeCourt before. While the compassion shown by Chief Justices in not seeking harsh punishment is admirable, repeated misconduct without a strong institutional response may embolden others. Courtrooms must remain safe and any attempt to intimidate judges must be dealt with firmly under the law.

The solution, however, is not just stricter security. It is faster justice.

The judiciary must evolve rapidly by filling judicial vacancies, reducing unnecessary adjournments, strengthening district courts, embracing technology, promoting mediation, and making justice more accessible to ordinary citizens.

Respect cannot be enforced by contempt alone.
It is earned when people believe that justice is timely, fair, and within reach.

A strong democracy needs two things: citizens who respect judges and a judiciary that continuously works to deserve that respect.

Sibbal was arguing and opposite counsel interrupted. sibbal said - both the judges are against me its already 2-1, kindly do not make it 3-1.
Opposite counsel said i am already your opposite counsel its expected if both of judges is against you, it will be 3-1.
And then the Supreme court judge said- No one can be against you Sibbal Saab in very lionizing voice (i guess).
I don't know whether it was the way of respecting senior advocate or it was buttering up of Sibbal SAAB. Maybe Sibbal SAAB or any other senior advocate should be treated like an ordinary advocate.
