If you're into backpacking, I would highly recommend taking this chance to thru-hike a long-distance trail. I did the John Muir Trail before grad school and it was an amazing experience!
One of my favorite things about being in a bacteriology lab is that I can say "Hey, come smell my bacteria!" and everyone in lab gets excited to come smell my bacteria 😍

Friday night and I'm stuck in lab waiting for my dilution plates in the anaerobic chamber to dry 😑 #phdlife
Note to self for next time: The anaerobic chamber is humid, don't pour your plates too thick otherwise you'll be waiting for literal hours for bacteria to dry...
Came home tonight to find my robot vacuum sadly flashing an error in the middle of the room. Apparently it had started its daily cleaning cycle, promptly thrown an error, and then abandoned all hope after only making it 3ft from the charger...
