The Crown Prince’s firm response to those campaigning against him in European countries, seeking to deny him and millions of Iranians their freedom of expression, even in the West.

Those who, in the name of democracy, write letters to Western officials urging them not to receive the Crown Prince.

Among these groups are the authoritarian-minded Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK or NCRI), who sought to prevent the Crown Prince from visiting the Belgian Parliament and the Royal Military Academy, and from meeting with Belgian ministers.

The Crown Prince is a democrat who believes in freedom of expression. The reason the MEK has no real support, either within the Iranian diaspora or inside Iran, is that Iranians want a democratic system. This is why the Crown Prince can bring tens of thousands of Iranians together within just a few hours, while other groups face rejection by the Iranian people.

I hope Western politicians will no longer be so easily misled by the lies of the Mojahedin-e Khalq.
