This was only discovered incidentally when calling about another matter. These changes:
• Defeat the purpose of our Vacation Club trial membership (seamless family vacations)
• Completely disregard the member experience we were promised

What’s worse: That empty PE seat was treated as a storage bin (used headphones, blankets, bottles). But they couldn’t let a crying toddler sit there for some peace? The lack of empathy is shocking.

Booked last-minute tickets for Flight CX 624 (BLR-HKG, Jan 19th). Couldn’t get all 4 seats together: 2 in PE, 2 in economy (ironically, economy cost more than PE). Traveling w/ a 2yo & 5yo, but @cathaypacific made it much harder than it had to be 🧵

We asked crew separately if our 2yo could sit w/ my wife & 5yo, while I stayed in economy. Both times: denied. Crew cited “rules,” w/ one member sarcastically adding: “Just because a seat is available in Business doesn’t mean you get one.”
