The protest in Turbat against the closure of roads in the name of VIP protocol and the harassment of doctors and other employees exposes the manufactured narrative of peace being projected from Balochistan. State security forces repeatedly bring TikTokers from Pakistan to Turbat, surround them with an overwhelming security apparatus, restrict their movement and facilitate staged content designed to present a false image of normalcy, peace and development. This is a deliberate colonial tactic, tightly control a colonized land, suppress the reality experienced by its people and then manufacture an artificial spectacle for public consumption. What is presented to the camera is not the reality of Turbat, it is a carefully managed performance designed to conceal repression.

The reality is that Baloch civilians continue to face enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, intimidation, militarization and systematic restrictions, while state backed death squads operate with impunity. Doctors, employees and ordinary residents are subjected to harassment and restrictions in their own city, while outsiders are escorted through streets cleared and secured for their convenience. A city cannot be called peaceful when its colonized people are denied basic freedom while a manufactured version of peace is performed for visitors and cameras. No amount of state propaganda, security protocol or staged social media content can conceal the coercion, repression and colonial control imposed on the people of Balochistan.

اگر کوئی کونج شاہ لطیف وارث شاہ رحمان بابا مست تو کلی کے دیس میں آکر مارا جائے تو کتنی شرم کی بات ہوگی۔ پرندے فطرت کے ��یور ہیں۔
ویسے تو یہ ساری قومیں مہمان نوازی کے دعوے کرتی نہیں تھکتیں لیکن ان مہمان پرندوں کے ساتھ یہ سلوک قابل شرم ہے اسکے الٹ راجھستان انڈیین پنجاب میں ان کا سواگت کیا جاتا ہے ان کے لئے سارا سال دانا اکٹھا کیا جاتا ہے اور انکی امد پر باقاعدا تیوہار منایا جاتا ہے
کلچرائیزڈ مہمان نواز کون ہوئے سوکالڈ مہمان نوازی کے دعوےدار اندر سے اسقدر خوفناک ہیں کہ اس موضوع پر بات کرنے میں ہی شرم آتی ہے ..

Shehak Qambrani is the cousin of @balochhaseeba. As many must be aware, the Qambrani family has been subjected to a series of enforced disappearances beginning in 2009.

Earlier this year (in January), 8 family members were forcibly disappeared.

And now the latest victim: Shehak, a 23-year old young man whose 3-year old daughter awaits his return.

Shehak was forcibly disappeared from his home in the presence of multiple family members/eyewitnesses on the night of 3rd November.

The first thing my husband @AdvHadiali said to me when I met him in NCCIA after his illegal arrest was:
یزید کے سامنے سر نہیں جھکائینگے چاہے سر کٹ جائے۔

Majoka’s illegal order has not caused Hadi or our family any distress because we are used to such injustices and face them with a smile. But the judge has proven he is not fit to be a judge. Remember that this is the same judge who earlier committed misconduct in false blasphemy cases which was established before the MIT, after which all those cases were transferred from his court. Majoka called Hadi into his chamber during pendency of the MIT complaint and tried to pressurise him into getting our client’s family to withdraw the complaint.
