Beware of those who discourage disagreement. Beware of those who shame the intellect and seek to claim authority through divine revelation. Your intellect is precious, your skepticism is needed and your integrity is the only currency you have in a world of prophets and liars.
There is no single woman in the bible who is celebrated, honoured, and remembered for cooking and housework. They were either resourceful, brave, killing enemies or saving their their people.
Infact, when food/cooking occured in the bible, mostly, it's a man doing it.
As someone who has firsthand witnessed the way zionist indoctrination is used to radicalize Jews against Palestine, I wanted to make a 🧵 of things that helped me unlearn what I had been taught to hopefully help people deprogram themselves or their loved ones
Anonymous condemns ALL KILLING - we condemn the attacks upon citizens who are non-combatants (both Israel and Hamas are guilty of this), and the filming of innocent men, women and children being slaughtered or used as hostages for political purposes.
To the People of Palestine, Hamas has made your situation worse, not better. We understand how brutally oppressive Israel has been to you. We've seen the consistent atrocities and war crimes committed by Israel - but we've also seen the brutality of Hamas.
Anonymous supports the people of Palestine and condemns the crimes committed by Israel, we understand that many of you didn't want Hamas to rule over you - they won by a slim margin. Hamas has lead the way for the people of Palestine to be slaughtered by Israel.
We condemn Hamas and their atrocious acts. We call upon the people of Israel and Palestine to change your leadership. War mongering factions will always war.
Walk the path of peace.
The killing must end on BOTH sides.

@brownecfm The Stockdale Paradox has helped me. It is a technique to navigate challenging and ambiguous times by combining the ability to confront the brutal facts of your current reality, even as you maintain unwavering faith that you will prevail in the end, no matter how distant that is.
I will never forgive the British and other European powers who didn’t want to deal with Jewish refugees after the holocaust and didn’t care about the Palestinian people living on the land and set up a situation that was always going to cause violence w/o any responsibility
1/ "Power offers an easy substitute for the hard task of love. It seems easier to be God than to love God, easier to control people than to love people ... Much Christian leadership is exercised by people who … have opted for power and control [over the work of love].
Ima say the quiet part out loud.
A lot of men are not desirable. Some lack the emotional intelligence (among other things) to have a HEALTHY relationship dynamic. This is one (of the many reasons) why they cling to patriarchy. Because patriarchy puts people in a position to NEED men regardless of if you want them or not.
You didn’t have to WANT a man but if you wanted a house you NEEDED a man. You didn’t have to WANT a man but if you wanted stable income in a home you NEEDED a man (this did not apply to BW bc they’ve always had to work, however the gender wage gap does apply to them so my sentiment still remains) you also NEEDED men if you wanted a bank account.
My point is men don’t have work on us as a collective if patriarchy keeps us in a space in which we are NEEDED. This is why you see grown ass men on the verge of tears when women say they don’t NEED a man. This is why we’re watching “the protectors of the community” use this woman’s situation as leverage to point out why you NEED men (completely ignoring a man was not only the victimizer but also a myriad of men stood motionless & offered no aid)
Men want power and to be needed and Patriarchy provides them with both.
Anyway, now I try to be the kind of teacher that makes the student write like themselves, want to take chances, be drawn to experimentation and risk, not to write like me, or appeal to my taste. And that is a position of generosity and service, NOT of authority and mastery
And therein lies the danger: having a lot to prove because of imposter syndrome can make you into the institution’s foot soldier, and the need for praise and excellence and institutional recognition can easily turn into inflicting even more harm through the soft power of “taste”

He didn't even run on this heroic action. What a man.
