It's been heartening to see our investigation into the inner workings of the Election Commission travel so far this week. Thank you for reading, sharing, arguing with it.
Now the harder ask.
Work like this takes months, and it doesn't happen on its own. If you believe there should be someone reading the notes nobody else reads, asking the questions nobody answers, and reporting what they find, fairly and accurately, however uncomfortable, then this is the moment to say so.

@Bd_irB_ll Don’t think he was close to the sack. First time manager taking over a team in 12th, wins a trophy and top 4 pace before (and after) a bad 3 month stretch when we didn’t have a 10. 2020 wasn’t a big window either. Arsenal did the reasonable thing which is not common
Delhi has housed at least 18 empires & is dotted with their remains. The history nerd in me has always wanted to trace the kingdoms who built these monuments, where in Delhi were they built & where their remains stand today.
I've made a website for this: https://t.co/URWAZb7Aic
Imagine you are 21 years old. You have played eight first-class matches in your life. You did not even have a passport a week ago.
Then you land in England.
Your first over averages 89.7mph. Every single delivery of that over is quicker than every other ball any Pakistan bowler has sent down on this entire tour. You trap the greatest Test batter England has produced before you have conceded a single run in Test cricket. You finish with four wickets.
Then you come back with the bat, score 81 from the bottom of the order in a day, and end up as the second-highest run scorer of the side. You break the record for the most sixes by a debutant in Test history. And you play an innings that wakes up an entire ground, and an entire country, in the space of a couple of hours.
That is where you tell the world that Pakistan has never had a shortage of talent. Only a shortage of people willing to look for it.
What a story. What an absolute beauty of a Test cricket session.
