ਕੁਝ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਦੇਖੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਜੀਈਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। “ਸਤਲੁਜ” (ਪਹਿਲਾਂ Punjab 95) ਦੂਜੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਹੈ। ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਮੀ ਉਡੀਕ, ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਕੱਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੰਗ, ਤੇ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ uncut ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ Zee5 ’ਤੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ, ਤਾਂ ਇੰਝ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੱਚ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ੰਜੀਰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹੋਣ।

ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਫਿਲਮ ਨਹੀਂ — ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਲੀ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਈ ਜਸਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਖਾਲੜਾ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਹੀ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ’ਤੇ ਸੀ। 1995 ਵਿਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਗਾਇਬ ਹੋਏ, ਮੈਂ ਮਾਤਰ 19 ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਖ਼ਾਮੋਸ਼ ਡਰ, ਉਹ ਸਹਿਮੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ, ਉਹ ਅਣਕਹੇ ਸਵਾਲ, ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਇਸ ਫਿਲਮ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮੁੜ ਜਿਊਂਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ 25,000 ਗੁੰਮਸ਼ੁਦਾ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਇਕੱਲੇ ਲੜੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਾਣੀ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਸੋਚ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਰੂਹ ਕੰਬਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Diljit Dosanjh ਨੇ ਇਸ ਕਿਰਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ 🙏🏼 ਓੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ। ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਟਾਰਡਮ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਚਮਕ-ਦਮਕ; ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਸਿੱਧਾ-ਸਾਦਾ ਸਿਦਕੀ ਇਨਸਾਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੰਝੂ ਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿਚ ਅਡੋਲ ਸੱਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ Diljit ਦੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਚੀ, ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਗਹਿਰੀ ਪਰਫਾਰਮੈਂਸ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ Honey Trehan ਦੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਸ਼ਨ? ਸੰਜਮ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਪਟੀ ਹੋਈ ਅੱਗ। ਉਹ ਚੀਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਬੱਸ ਸੱਚ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਸੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਭਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਹ ਫਿਲਮ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੋਰੰਜਨ ਨਹੀਂ 🙏🏼 ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਭੁੱਲਾਂਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ। ਭਾਈ ਖਾਲੜਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਦੀਵਾ ਵੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਭਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਫਿਲਮ ਉਸੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਦੀ ਲੋਅ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਤੀਹ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਬੁਝੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
