Mr Kumar Rajeev Ranjan IAS (2010 batch) AIR 866 and Pay Level 11 in the IAS Pay Matrix. Being a senior IAS officer does not give you the licence to humiliate a woman officer, silence her or hurl abuses at her. The words “bloody shit” and “I am your boss” are not signs of authority, they expose an ugly abuse of it.
Are you frustrated because there is an FIR against you for a very very bad reason? Who has given you the right to hurl abuses at a woman officer like this?
Your rank, your chair and your position are no excuse for such arrogance. Leadership is about listening, fairness and accountability, not intimidating someone who is trying to explain her position.
And if you believe that wearing a senior officer’s badge puts you above basic human decency, you need a serious reality check.
She is the proud daughter of Kashmir, holding that chair purely because of her MERIT. She's a public servant who deserves dignity and respect. We stand firmly with her. She must not be expected to tolerate humiliation simply because the person insulting her is senior in rank.
You owe her an unconditional public apology. No excuses, no justification, no hiding behind hierarchy.
A government position is a public responsibility, not a personal throne. Respect is earned through conduct, not demanded through intimidation.
Issue with most Indians when they come to govt hospital and their conduct with govt doctors is they confuse service with servility.
A doctor at a govt hospital is providing you service, he/she is NOT YOUR SERVANT.
Healthcare service is not hospitality service.
