Returning to this: I watched #TheGreatEscape 1st episode and I was wrong 😅 It was actually a tiger for the fictional kingdom, Ahan. Not #ArthdalChronicles like I wished for lol
Just finished season one of #ArthdalChronicles on @netflixarthdal, and I can't recommend this epic Korean fantasy series strongly enough. Seriously incredible acting and top-notch worldbuilding, with lots of twists and turns and narrative payoffs.
Arthdal Chronicles (10/10)
- an epic saga that depicts the power struggle between different tribes to gain control over Arthdal
- the gold standard of historical fantasy (change my mind)
- the only downside of this series is the lack of 2nd season (like...when)
am i the only one who's still wishing for Ragaz and Asa Hon more scenes in Arthdal Chronicles S1? But they're until ep 1. The parents of Eunseom and Saya 🥺

I noticed something very interesting about the recent cafemynz picture potentially revealing #ArthdalChronicles 👀👀👀 if you look closely at the white flag, you will see a rough outline of a bear's head.
I’m really sad and furious that #ArthdalChronicles wasnt appreciated and was criminally underrated before given how amzing this series was. I really hope it gets the attention and justice it deserves. AC needs that 2nd season.

#ArthdalChronicles has everything I could wish for in an ancient-fantasy drama: out of this world story, great world-building, beautiful cinematography, plot consistency, complex characters, strong women representation, & top-tier acting. 🔥

Spectacular writing which tied so sub-stories neatly. Superbly acted & directed. The mythical world of Arth was just simply stunning. Loved how all the chars had their morality and relationships at stake as everyone struggles for power and survival.

The writing🔥
thought-provoking (at times crazy) script, the way they address themes like colonialism & racism, deconstruction of modern concepts (e.g. 'nation', 'name'), layered & multi-dimensional characters (+++villains). STRONG FEMALE CHARACTERS
