The article used for this is for disciplinary sanctions, but the automatic 1 match ban in not a disciplinary sanction, because it is automatic and not reviewable after the game. @ScottyGrays @declatom @tombogert Oh not at all. In the US you may feel it is unjust, but in Europe we all very much think this a red card offense no matter the country that commits it. It was unintentional for sure, but still an uncontrolled and dangerous fault where a red card doesn't seem too harsh.

The ban has been moved to next year, this makes the ban trivial, as every other red card player misses the next match. Always. Even Ronaldo did

But the first match ban is automatically applied and has to be purged. I get rules allow interpretation, but why only yo favor the US in this cup?
