The maker’s love for wood was too strong to stain or dye it - but how could a colourful, mosaic tabletop be created? The answer: leather. A wide variety of leathers were used, cut into tile-like shapes to form a vibrant surface!, which delights both the eye and the touch!🧩 👇

"An exploration into fragility, this piece was driven by the process. The simple casket construction was distorted by the fire and fractured primarily at one point. Focusing on this, I reshaped and evolved the form to celebrate the flaw."
