We’re at a weird spot in our civilization. It’s somehow simultaneously more and less competent.
The god computer can cure cancer but the nurse doesn’t speak English. The flock camera can find a missing child in 5 minutes but you get robbed by a guy with 30 priors.
@ShirazAkmal same here, i have fond memories of the times going to bed thinking about a problem to then immediately solve it the following morning. im sorta ok with not experiencing that again tbh
Leftism is the ideology of the ugly, jealous and bitter against the beautiful, successful and happy.
It's the religion of choice for the godless.
It's a cancer on culture and society.
so many books to read, instruments to learn, languages to speak, poems to write, countries to visit, songs to sing, movies to watch, people to meet, pictures to take, food to taste, places to see, sunsets to watch, stories to hear, stories to tell, things to create, hobbies to discover, dreams to chase, love to give, memories to make, lessons to learn, and a whole life to live.
This quote from Steve Jobs lives rent free in my head...
"People who are genuinely great at something don't compete. They don't care about being compared to others because they're so deep in their own lane that comparison would be a waste of time. They just do their thing."
gaming might be one of the few fields left for us that AI would have no use for (except for perhaps simulations) when they take over/automate major aspects of our society.
I imagine we'd still have jobs for making videos games for people. what reason would AI have for itself to develop something like tetris or forza or sonic, etc.
