@aryehazan Well, I want to assume that the Spaniards who are on the fence re Israel are much more positive/nationalist towards Spain than the median Spaniard and so are polarized against people who Disparage Spain, but I don’t know. Maybe they hate Spain and are ambivalent towards Israel.

@aryehazan At the country level it is probably detrimental to make crude gestures in public but when Ben Gvir says something it’s usually to steal votes from Likud and damn the consequences

@aryehazan This is the wrong frame to look at this situation imo, Spain is not punished by Israeli pols tweets, both sides are playing to their base so its win-win for Spanish left and Israeli right to antagonise each other
