I am so very sad today to hear of the death of the generous, brilliant and open hearted, Michael Boyd. It was a privilege to work with him & see his beautiful work @TheRSC. An inspirational leader of the whole company both on stage & behind the scenes. All love to his family.
Our current stage tour features three very different short pieces, the sum of their parts, a showcase of what makes Rambert. If you’re near Cornwall, London, Salford or Brighton, we’d love you to come and see us perform live this May.

@WeAreKneehigh so so excited to see #flyingloversofvitebsk tonight. Have arrived in my virtual seat in Cornwall 45 mins early! Saw this magical show in Heligan and can’t wait to see it again. @BristolOldVic
Dear @OliverDowden your response to @Howard_Goodall’s excellent thread is eagerly awaited. Brexit is yet another crisis brewing for our economy and the beleaguered souls who work in the creative industries, on top of COVID. @Keir_Starmer@WeAreTheMU
Those in the events industry, the freelance sector which has been a growing part of our economy over the past 20 years, and who have started new businesses, have been hung out to dry in receiving no support. We have a duty to do more for them. The @ExcludedUK should be included.
@Ed_Miliband@OliverDowden@RishiSunak As someone who works in the cultural sector I find Alok Sharma’s comments offensive and he seems to have forgotten DCMS’s press release of Feb 2020: UK creative industries contribute almost £13 million per hour to the UK economy https://t.co/pDdA910ePE
Grassroots music venues in England will be the first cultural organisations to benefit from the government’s £1.57 billion package for the arts, with the most at-risk organisations receiving cash in the “next few weeks”, DCMS has confirmed https://t.co/WbfEH8dfQw
@DerekThomasUK Like many of your constituents with a small business,
I am not entitled to any Government assistance as a limited company director. Will you be at the cross parliamentary group meeting being organised by @Jamie4North on Tuesday?

The National Theatre have let all FOH staff go. I now have no job whatsoever. Not a single source of income. God I loved that job so much. How can the arts have been let down this badly by the government? @OliverDowden ???
The National Theatre, emblem of our cultural vitality, cannot now afford to keep on its front of house staff. Let that sink in.
That is an abject national humiliation.
These weeks will never be forgotten.
PM briefing live. Promises a timetable next week for re-opening the arts and events sector. But no promise of funding. There will be no sector to re-open if the Government does not recognise this and act now. @OliverDowden@ThatTimWalker#SaveOurTheatres
PM’s briefing live now - he says nail bars and gyms still closed, but not even a mention of theatres, music venues and the performing arts sector which is dying on its feet. Simply not on this Governement’s radar. #SaveOurTheatres@OliverDowden@ThatTimWalker@RishiSunak
