The FIFA World Cup is not about winning or losing. It is a festival of human striving to go beyond the limitations of one’s physical body and mind, trying to stretch oneself and doing incredible things. -Sg
Couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this news.
Of course, India is a global force in shooting, but most of our success has come in rifle & pistol events.
Trap and skeet have always been much tougher to crack, demanding a very different ecosystem of ranges, coaching and competition.
That’s what makes Neeru Dhanda’s victory so special.
To win an ISSF World Cup gold in trap is one thing. To do it at Lonato, which is one of the sport’s most iconic venues and a place every shotgun shooter reveres, is another.
Clay target shooting has long been a European stronghold and is a discipline many Americans proudly regard as their own. Which is why Neeru’s gold feels like such a breakthrough.
Congratulations, Neeru. May this be the first of many more podiums. 🇮🇳

An outstanding performance by our youngsters!
Congratulations to the Indian contingent of Kanishk Jain, Riddhesh Anant Bendale, Rishit Garg, Shresth Suraiya and Svarit Joshi for winning Gold Medals at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2026 held in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
Their feat reflects yet another example of the limitless potential of our Yuva Shakti and their passion towards science and research. Equally commendable is the fact that in the last decade, our students have performed exceptionally well in the various editions of this platform.
Van Mahotsav Celebration at Isha Yoga Center | Day 2: Connecting with the Living World
On Day 2 of Van Mahotsav – A Celebration of Forests, Poornangas and Brahmacharis had the opportunity to connect with the diverse flora and fauna within the ashram. Exploring simple processes of observation, they discovered the depth that unfolds when one truly pays attention—a way of including all life as a part of ourselves.
Participants also experienced the art of planting a sapling with an Isha Brahmachari who has been associated with Project GreenHands since its inception.
Reached Auckland a short while ago. Thankful to Prime Minister Luxon for the welcome at the airport.
This visit is historic, being the first Prime Ministerial visit to New Zealand in four decades. I look forward to holding talks with Prime Minister Luxon and discussing the complete range of the India-NZ friendship. I will also be addressing a community programme tomorrow in Auckland.

Today, whatever America does, the world tends to follow. That is not just power, it is responsibility. America has shown the world what a nation can achieve with 250 years of outward freedom, my wish is that the next chapter is about achieving inner freedom too. Happy 250th, America. -Sg

A very special ceremony, highlighting a shared commitment to a greener planet!
At the Seychelles National Botanical Garden, took part in the Joint Tree Plantation Ceremony with President Dr. Patrick Herminie.
We planted the iconic Coco de Mer, which is unique to Seychelles. Respected widely in Seychelles, it is featured on its coat of arms too. People here celebrate the Coco de Mer for producing among the largest seeds and the heaviest fruits.
India and Seychelles share a common resolve to safeguard biodiversity, promote environmental stewardship and leave behind a greener, healthier planet for future generations.

Temple revenues must be used for the upkeep of temples, not as welfare funds. Thanks to all activists who have been working relentlessly for years towards this, but Temples should ultimately be in the hands of Devotees. -Sg. @CMOTamilnadu

Across Bharat, interest in natural farming is growing as farmers look for ways to reduce input costs and improve long-term land health. Several states are now introducing policies to encourage chemical-free agriculture at scale.
However, transitioning to natural farming requires more than a single initiative. Consistent policy support, farmer training, and investments in soil and water conservation will play a crucial role in making this shift successful.
