Got my car serviced for ₹16,473. Add ₹3,126 GST. Paid ₹19,599 in total.
But wait! To earn that ₹19,599, I paid ₹8,400 in income tax too.
So for a ₹16,473 service, ₹27,999 left my pocket. That’s 41.17% tax! 😭🚗💸 #TaxTerrorism#TaxLoot

SBI told Supreme Court on March 13,2024 that a total of 22,217 electoral bonds were purchased.
But the data released today lists the details of only 18,871 bonds.
Why are the details of 3,346 bonds not submitted by SBI?

An urgent plea must be placed before SC to prohibit ECI from announcing next LS elections in view of absence of information about funding and electoral bonds needed for voters to make informed choices during elections. 1/6

So...after installing 1.5 Crores worth of systems for this explicit purpose, SBI cannot produce a list of donors and recipients in 3 WEEKS??
For SBI, this is a shameless farce...to be roundly condemned
As a nation, it is a tragedy that its largest bank has sunk to such depths

For the first time in over three decades (excluding the 2020-21 pandemic), the Union Govt is generating more money from personal income tax (₹10 lakh crore) than it is from corporate tax (₹9 lakh crore).
This is the direct result of PM Modi giving his close friends a ₹1.84 lakh crore handout in the form of the September 2019 corporate tax cut just before he left for Houston's Howdy Modi event to boost Trump's re-election campaign.
This handout benefitted the 0.7% largest firms in 2019, even as the poor, the middle class and small businesses reel from price rise and high taxes.
Far from stimulating investments and jobs, the corporate tax cut resulted in a 19-year low in the share of corporate investment in 2022-23, even as profits went sky high. The tax cuts instead went straight into the pockets of the PM’s friends, as many experts had warned at the time.
Meanwhile the Modi government has completely let down the poor and the middle class, with private consumption growth this year being the slowest since 2002-03.
This is the reality of Modi’s Atmanirbharta: all benefits for a few chosen conglomerates and ANYAY for everyone else.
#AyodhyaRamMandir This was Thuglak cover page in the edition that came out after week after the demolition of Babri Masjid, 1992.
In the editorial Cho had termed the demolition of Babri Masjid as an ‘Atrocity in Ayodhya’. “As a practicing Hindu, I too hang my head in shame for this act by Hindu fanatics"
BJP, RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal and other Sangh Parivar affiliates have demolished a Mosque. A most barbarous act has been completed in the name of Kar Seva.
